Title: Round of 16's Bracket 1: Uruguay vs South Korea , USA vs Ghana

I think Uruguay looked great in the group stages and looked very good on defense and had good tactics for each game. They're the strongest in the group, and it wouldn't surprise me if they actually reach the finals. South Korea made plenty of silly mistakes, Uruguay can easily capitalize on this.

USA vs Ghana

Both teams look solid, but I think this will be decided in Extra Time. Hate to say this, but I'm giving the edge to Ghana. I'll be rooting for the U.S. though

All in all, Ghana is slightly stronger on paper but they are too stupid to score goals. Plus the US boys have great spirit and a winner mentality.Too close to predict. I say USA.

Uruguay and Korea, hmm, of course Korea is the underdog, but the Urus shouldn't underestimate them. I say Uruguay.

Post by: Lunatic on June 25, 2010, 10:43:24 PM: Uruguay aren't as strong defensively as most think and it will show soon. They'll get by S. Korea but that's it. I don't know a lot about them, but I know any team that Jorge Fucile starts on can't be that good of a defensive unit :P

USA will beat Ghana. This is a real weak bracket though.
