Whattup ya'll, as some of you know i live in Edmonton, alberta, CANADA, home of the only stop on Snoops current tour where he is doing two shows (one was all ages)....my boy Harman is the Dj and concert booker/promoter, so i got free passes to both along with another couple friends. Harman said he had talked to Snoop and supposedly Daz was not coming, but i was not trying to believe that!!!
Anyway, damnit, i missed DJ Jam playing for like an hour at the start of the first show/ when i got there he was playing "Da Boss would like to See You", which sounded INCREDIBLE with the huge system! Damn, why didnt Snoop make a song over this beat? Then, out of nowhere, Uncle Junebug, Soopafly, Bad Azz, E-White, and some guy i didnt recognize walked out.....and then, SNOOP walked out and the place went wild. To be honest, it was an almost surreal experience for me because like many people i have been down with Snoop for 10 years now. He had tight braids and black sunglasses, and a Jets Martin jersey on....honestly, he looked like he did back in the day, and guess what? He sounded like it was back in the day too.
Here's a rundown of what songs he played if i remember correctly...
1. Boss Would like to C U intro
2. Murder Was the Case (DAMN DAMN DAMN)
3. Serial Killa (now this was maybe the highlight if the whole damn show, cuz the guy i didnt recognize turned out to be RBX...."deep, deep like the minds of...not picinic basket, picinic casket"....unbelievable)
4. Tell it like it Is- (pretty dope song, never liked it much b4 but honestly, somehow Snoop sounds BETTER live than he does on his cds!, soopafly and RBX got some shine on here)
5. U THought- Snoop and Soopafly, always loved this song
6. Still a G thang!!!!
7. Tha Shiznit (my fav. Snoop song, holy shit)

9. Wrong Idea (bad azz got some shine, this song is still really good)
10. Gangster Party (nice dedication to Pac)
11. Nuthin but a gthang- THe crowd went crazy, damn, Snoop is PERFECT live.....bad azz rapped Dre's parts!
12. Dre Day/Lil Ghetto Boy/Stranded on Death ROw medley (this was crazy right here, Jam hooked it up and Snoop went from song to song so smoothly)
13. B Please- one off the songs the youngsters really knew, actually it sounded like shit though
14. Buck Em- damn, that bass is so low...the beat was sped up, and SNoop rapped way faster than the cd version
15. Lay low- this didnt sound that good either for some reason
16. the Chuuch....- wow, Snoop RIPPED this beat up, sounded much better live and made me FEEL this song
17. The one and Only- now, never expected to hear snoop do this one, and he rapped until the part where he says " Me and My moms wasn't getting along at this time/and since pops was gone I'm out GRINDING"....from there, the beat kept going, and
18. LODI DODI over GRINDING BEAT- damn, this was crazy, Snoop did all three verses over the Grinding beat, it was DOPE
19. Next Episode- Snoop did his verse and half of Dre's even....
20. Gin and juice
21- Whats My Name ......thats the whole show

So, the first show was done by 9pm, and the second show didnt start til 11pm. Snoop and the crew got off the stage FAST, but there second show was only across West Edmonton Mall at another club owned by the same owners as this club. My man Harma called me and two of my friends over, and he said to come with him! I was acting like a little bitch "Are we gonna meet Snoop Dogg man, are we!"
WEll, we went to the other club, and Snoop, Soopafly, Junebug, RBX(he is HUGE), Bad Azz (like 5 feet tall lol) were all chilling backstage in some VIP room with a serious amount of alcohol. Junebug and Soopafly were drinking out of SNoop's diamond encrusted glasses, those things are crazy. I was tripping man, kinda nervous and shaking and stuff, wondering what to say, if i could interview anyone, etc. Basically, Snoop didnt really say shit except "Watsup dogg, grab one of those".....I look over and i grabbed a vinyl copy of "Chuuch to the Palace". DOpe, but Snoop stayed on his cell phone and never did autograph it......
Talked to Bad Azz a little, let him know i was a fan, had both his albums and shit, hes like "Glad SOMEONE buys this shit, good lookin".....June bug i just weord, didnt wanna talk to him AT ALL......

Rbx man, he has a fairly normal voice to tell you the truth....he told me he had an album almost completely finished, but would finish it up when he got back home. Never got a chance to talk to Soopafly or DJ JAM, but its all good....although i was hoping to get some EXCLUSIVE news, but oh well!! I met Snoop (sort of) so i was happy.
The second show was almost exactly the same, except Soopafly never came out!?? Oh well, it was still mad dope...But Seriously, where the hell was DAZ? He definitely was not there, wtf!
SNOOP IS THE FUTURE OF THE WESTCOAST IF HE WANTS TO BE!!!!!
- now, like a lot of you, i am disappointed with Snoops new album (although hearing some songs live changes it a little!).......but damn, Snoop has the same flow of old if he wants it man...he still has the potential, he can do it if he focuses and has some musical guidance. I am convinced that Snoop can do much GREATER things with some help and focus, cuz NOONE can flow like him, not even Big Daddy Kane in 88! People always say Snoop needs Dre, and i guess they right...it only makes sense that the best Westcoast rapper (if he wants to be) works with the best producer and makes one last classic!!

One last thing, this morming my man Harman called me and said he got me anphed copy of Paid the Cost to be the BOss from SNoop.......cant wait for this! Damn, if Snoop comes to your town, u gotta GO!!!!!

I hear ya... the first time I saw Snoop I was blinking a few times to make sure I wasn't dreaming... but then, not only did I have Snoop walking out... Dr. Dre was right next to him..... *faints in puddle of salivia*

Keep it real, dawg, good luck..... But, still Snoop's new album aint dat bad, man, actually i liked it... at least it's better from "Top Dogg" and "The Game is to be Sold not to be Told", am I right? Chuuch!
