Title: who listens to old albums a lot more than new ones?
Post by: budsmokeronly on December 12, 2002, 08:20:44 PM
I listen to older albums so much more than newer ones.  New ones I listen to for a bit, and then hardly listen to it again for a while.  I usually like to bump that older shit.  Don't get me wrong there have been some great albums dropping within the last couple of years, but nothing that compares to the older music from 93-98.

I'll throw in anything at any time.  I'll go from Restless to Follow The Leader then ATLiens, I always mix things up.  But when I get a new CD like Gza & Nas now, these two will get a lot burn for the next while.

Yeah pretty much all I do is listen to old stuff, I regularly listen to stuff from the 60's, 70's, and 80's.  I prob. listen to like 10% from the 90's, and 10% from the 200zands

yeah, 1987-1996 was a golden era in rap, after 2Pac died everything kinda died & went to commercial happy shit or romantic soft cock RNB crap

I feel ya. The only new album I've been bumping as much as older ones (Regulate..., Bow Down, Dogg Food, Eastsidaz etc...) is Ghetto Heisman. It's got that special sound.

I listen to a mix. I still bang all the old shit but I gotta hear what's coming out now to stay up on game, I don't wanna get stuck in the past and be one of those cats who keeps saying 'those were the days', even though to be honest most music coming out now sucks hehe

Word... the older shit just has better replay value... and like Axle said some new shit has it's moments... but for me, it doesn't always last...

I listen to most music from the late 70's...all 80's, 90's and today.  I think most of the music I bump though came from the 1990s.
