i love his talent, but i hate him now. when i wanna pick a PF for an all time list it gots to be him, i dont like ducans style and plus he plays more of the 5 than he does the 4 , dirk plays alot more of the 3 than the 4, wasnt old enough to recollect all the games malone played, etc etc, and bosh this guys way too soft in the paint for his age, stout just isnt as a complete player.
KG to me is the perfect PF, good mid range game that can space the floor, and hes a monster when going in the paint, and the dude can pass, and a crazy defender.

I think he's overrated...His best days were in Minnesota, and he couldn't do it as a #1 option. I used to really like KG, as well, but Boston brought the bitch out of him.

The T-Wolves didn't give him shit in when he was with them. The one year he had good team mates, he took them to the conference finals. He was putting up ridiculous stats and carried the team to 50+ games a season. I use to have the utmost respect for him since he never complained and always tried his best. Too bad he won a championship in Boston and became a big douche thereafter.

i fuckin hate them all

Yea, but he's not a player you can build a championship team around ala the current LeBron...Great player in his prime, I just wouldn't put him up there with the Magics, Birds, Kareems, Jordans, Russells, etc. He's closer to Pau Gasol.
-
None of the above. When I liked the 80's Lakers, I hated Ainge then Dennis Johnson the most. Hated Bird also but I respected him. He's a way better player than I am. I remember when some Laker fans were actually stupid enuff 2 believe that McHale & the wolves were goinna trade Garnett to the Lakers ;D If he did that then the Celtics woulda most likely unretired his number & took it off the rafters.
-
probably Paul Pierce, you can tell he's more of an ego maniac than the average player

I think that statement is pure ignorance. Maybe since I remember watching KG a lot living in MN, I can speak differently, but to watch someone like him everyday, you realize he is a great player, and to see MN mess up with who they put around him was frustrating. If KG had a true team around him, he would have won a title. A team lead by KG in his prime could be the same exact team lead by Duncan in his prime... I said it.

good thing he didn't, cuz we ended up getting Gasol for much less. 8)

Trust me, I used to like KG a lot and at one point in his career, I even ranked him over Duncan...but it's become pretty clear that KG is a notch under Duncan. Duncan is more of a reliable player who you can count on to demand the ball and get you there...more of a go-to-guy in the final minutes of a game, whereas KG is the unselfish guy who would rather defer and needs another 1st option caliber player around him to truly succeed. Not to take anything away from KG, cuz in his prime, he was up there with the most talented players in the league..great player...but still not up there with the all-time greats, sorry.

-
8 mill? So whats 12 mill? How much are gasol, bynum, farmer and fisher
gasol gets close to 20 mil, bynum 15 or 16 mil, farmar was payed prob around 2-3 mil, fish now gets paid 10 mil over 3 years so basically lil less than 4 mil a year

You're talking to same guy who couldn't get the thought of Mike Brown being a bad coach. Because he won many games.
Guy's winning many reg season games - gotta be a great coach. Guy's starting - gotta be better than anyone on the bench.
-
Nah the mike brown thing ay..imo hes a good coach...but odom gettin paid more than fisher is crazy str8 up...do any of u agree wit odom gettin paid more and is he a better player?
-
Fisher is shit... he's just starting because the Lakers have been pretty bad at the 5 throughout all those years and he has a history with the Lakers. But he never was even close to being an All-Star or anything. Odom is younger, has a much better body and is more versatile.
-
Aite fair enough...jus didnt c fisher gettin paid that lil and odom that much? any of u really think odom was a factor at all n the playoffs?
-
None of those players even play for Celtic. You guys are craaaazy.
The answer is Aiden McGeady.
-
damn that would have been crazy if lakers would have gotten kg tho...shit why the fuck is odom gettin that much money?
Odom actually aint gettin shit...hes gettin 8 mill, which is a lot less than he'd be getting on most other teams.
It really don't matter for Odom anyway, he does got it made though. He married a Kardasshian, plus I read that she bought him a $400,000 car after the Lakers won the finals. I'd love to be with a woman who'd buy me a car, but I wouldn't want a 6 figure one.
-
Dont care odom is overpaid n the millions...waltons even worse...aite in the nba where do u rank odom?
-
Dont care odom is overpaid n the millions...waltons even worse...aite in the nba where do u rank odom?
i rank odom as the most versitle player in the nba he has a 6'11 centers frame and dribble and pass like a point guard and can shoot the peremieter shot.
-
Aite if u want 2 break it down like that cool...but who is better than that u think that u rank him that high? Hes a bench player...no reason 4 him 2 b gettin paid that much...dont care if hes yao ming tall...as far as overall talent fisher>>odom

over all talent ug otta be kidding me, odoms been starting for most of his career, he agreed to go to the bench because they needed a boost. trust me he would of been an all star if he was to lead a team.
-
Nah the mike brown thing ay..imo hes a good coach...but odom gettin paid more than fisher is crazy str8 up...do any of u agree wit odom gettin paid more and is he a better player?
I do.
Manu Ginobli on the Spurs has always been one of the top three players on the team. He was an all star. But it helped the team more for him to be the 6th man. The team was able to have a solid starting 5, but with Manu on the bench...they always had the advantage of having a bench player who was better than anyone on any other bench. He still played a ton of minutes. Id say he deserved more than anyone else on the team not named Duncan...and MAYBE Parker.
-

Oh also, the players in the starting 5 arent ALWAYS the 5 best players. Lets say for example the third best player on the Jazz is a PG, where would he fit into the starting lineup? You would have to chose between him or Williams. So you have him on the bench as the leader of the second unit. He would still get paid accordingly if you wanna keep him. And should still get paid better then the other players he is better than.
And overall TALENT....Odom shits all over Fisher. Fisher just has more heart. If they had a baby together it would be an all star.
-
U a fool 4 that baby comment daygo...but i c what u sayin watcha ur example...still imo fisher>>odom
-
U a fool 4 that baby comment daygo...but i c what u sayin watcha ur example...still imo fisher>>odom
whatchu talking about, just because a player comes off the bench doesnt mean they have less talent or arnt able to start (in the case of the 6th man) 6th man players like jason terry, manu ginobili, odom, nate robinson, rudy fernandez, etc etc can all start and can make an argument for themselves to start but they need FIREpower off the bench so when has a bunch of talent they send one down to boost the bench and basically bring one "bench" caliber type of player to start. IE who evers playing shooting guard for the spurs, Rudy ferenandez on the 08-09 roster, etc etc.
how can u say fisher is better than odom, fisher has never been a star ( i love fish but this comparison is riducluous) and never TRULY carried a team on his back while being the star on the team (odom has on the clippers) fisher is a solid nba point guard, as to odom, my god you dont get u got to be kidding me, 7 foot pg's dont just fall off trees, especially the ones that can shoot.

Exactly. Manu is a fuckin All Star lol. Pop likes him as the 6th man to create a bench if the bench is somewhat weaker than he wants.
-
I don't mean to hate at all, but Odom is worth a lot more money than Fisher and clearly the more talented player.
-
Im jus sayin odom aint worth that much and fisher does more...someone that does more should get more
-
Im jus sayin odom aint worth that much and fisher does more...someone that does more should get more
how does fisher deserve more than odom? im sure odom equals or tops fisher assist average and of course outrebounds him and outscores him. yes fisher hits clutch shots because when fisher and kobe is on the court in crunch time odom goes back to the PF position rather than RUNNING THE OFFENSE as a PG or out on the wing as a SF.
also fisher is 36 years old, he already got a ridiculously long term contract for a player for his age and the money hes gettin fair. when players get old they dont have the potential to play at the same level like the have in their younger years, thus the paycut. lol man... whend you start watching basketball?
put odom on the wolves, warriors, or nets and give him the keys to the car and i wouldnt be suprised if he averaged a triple double for the season

IMO Odom is clearly the more valueable player to that team. Fisher has some intangibles....like his locker room presence and shit like that. But on the court, it isnt close. There are times where the Lakers seem to live and die with how Odom performs. Offensively, he is actually the 2nd (behind Kobe) most difficult player to guard on the Lakers. When he is aggressive, he can be a matchup nightmare for defenses. Fisher is just an old guy who knows how to pass the ball to Kobe, flop, and hit an occasional open jumper.
