^ thanks ill have to remember the date
anyone listen to cold war kids, i heard their one famous song , then checked out both albums, and really dope stuff.
-
Yeah Yeah Yeahs are cool. I can't really get into Arcade Fire. Their music makes me think of roaming through Quebec on a horse and french canadians are smiling and waving at you. Everybody seems to like them. Just too preppy for me i guess.
-
anyone check out 'best coast', a female lead singer, and very velvet underground/jesus and mary chain influenced musically, pretty cool stuff, very fuzz heavy,
-
Just thought id throw a heads up in case anyone wants to watch this in 10 minutes (live )
-
I really like Best Coast and I'm annoyed by Cold War Kids.
And I'm loving the Suburbs.
Webcast just finished, great version of Wake Up....always a great song live
-
the suburb is too long for me but theres definately a lot of stuff on there i like, esp 'modern man' (which i wish they played). concert was dope (except the annoying stream was glitchy), but i like how they play songs from all their albums, and it was like an hour and almost 45 min, whoa.

Arcade Fire Hit Number One
They did it, folks-- more people bought Arcade Fire's third album, The Suburbs, than any other album in the United States last week. The news comes courtesy of their label, Merge, and label mates Spoon, who Tweeted, "Let the record reflect that Merge Records is the NUMBER ONE LABEL IN THE USA! Here's to Arcade Fire and Merge: #1 -- 156k copies sold." This comes after news of the group triumphing over the UK album charts this week as well, according to Billboard.
This is the band's first chart-topping album in the U.S. Their last LP, Neon Bible, debuted at number two. Independent rock music is pretty popular now, apparently!
