There was a lot of camps and crews over the years that people were really getting excited about. Which one disappointed you the most, I mean there has been so many, just to name a few we got Larceny, Baymaac/G West, BWS, Jazzy Management, Hoods Finest, Precise, Kustapio, HustleHouse, Brazil Street, Re-Up, Jaded, COB and the list goes on. Which were you most excited about and which one did you think had the most potential? Which ones still got some life in them and which ones are still going strong. Its kind of crazy if you really think of all the movements, camps, labels, groups, etc in cali that have went no where...

does Aftermath count?
-
I'm more so talking about this up and coming camps...
-
Great thread idea actually. Thumbs up +1 :D
. I remember thinkin that BWS could blow up.. lol.. damn logo...
And when 100 More Bars dropped I thought Ya Boy would blow up right then and there.. so Precise too..
But really when you think about it you should never expect anything from these groups/labels..
Like Ya Boy says now that BLACK CARD BOYS will take over? Are you shittin me... 37 people in the whole world know who they are..
and most of them will be forgotten.. I know there is Ya Boy, Dubb, Cik. Money and uuhm? . Some dudes..
These things will never blow UP ..
Slaughterhouse is the next BIG thing.. that whole shady deal.. Damn..

I think it was called Streetlife Records it was founded by Jerry Heller and Johnny J but Johnny J died :'(
-
Haha does aftermath count...as if they havent accomplished nuthin..give em some credit...but yeah theres a gang of labels that would fit nto this...and ya boys label shit is comedy imo
-
In no particular order:
IV Life Records
Death Row's 2nd dynasty and also when they became "Tha Row"
BWS
The whole new west
-
BWS witout a doubt
-
i say bws from the stand point of how come the leader can drop 3 networth albums without a fucc'n appearance from one of the artist on the label? that's just fucc'n stupid if you ask me yell
-

STFU groupie they dropped the ball w/ rakim (and many others for that matter) they made white rappers fashionable and watered down the game with g unit (get it).
aftermath as a label is a fail.

The death of Tha Row post Crooked I, Eastwood, etc
Black Wall Street never getting started as a legit label, specifically M.O.B., could have been the greatest west coast group since Tha Eastsidaz hands down.
-
i have to say death row, both eras because they could have dropped so much more classic material. for all the classics the first era dropped they missed out on a kurupt solo, dr, dre follow up, sam sneed debut & so much more. the second dynasty they could have dropped crooked i, eastwood, a real kurupt album. not to mention the other westcoast movements, bws, dogghouse, IV lfe, C.O.B,

I think all West factions of some label from other regions have failed and visa versa.
CTE West
G Unit West
Young Money West
Ruff Rydaz West
Shady West
BWS East
Deathrow East
G Unit South
I forgot about IV Life, I used to record at a studio where some of there producers worked at, they had some heat. I thought they were going to do it big...
Then you had the lil camp Tha Realest had with the Terror Twinz and some other cats that I was really feeling.
Tha Row 99+ I was really looking forward to until it got to the Big Los, Warlord era
BWS had a great roster ten times over again until the current one. Although I do like Mysonne (when he was on Def Jam), Clyde Carson & XO, the previous rosters was way sicker though
G Unit West/Baymaac had some sick cats, Spider, Papa Smurf, Columbo Black, Big Paybacc & Snoopy Blu but it seems like they low key fell off. Seen Snoopy Blu in those Eastwood videos, that brings us to Selfmade which I though would push something waaay back.
I was excited about Young Money West when I found out Raje was in charge of the shit then it seemed like that fell off.
G.E.D seemed like they had promise with Tyga, Gata & Schoolboy Q. Schoolboy aint been heard of since he dissed 40 glocc.
Brazil Street seemed to have fallen off when Young Life shook, downhill ever sense then.
Xzbits Open Bar fell off when SAS bounced.
What happen to Meech Wells and his camp?
Then to go even deeper what about the artist people thought were going to blow up a few years back? Mykestro, Problem, Mr Fab, Keek Da Sneek, Crooked I, Spitfiya, E White, Hitttman, Sly Boogie, Damani, Eastwood, Bang Loose, Gail Gotti,
What about all those artist that came out when the new west really started cracking like K-Aktive, Wallet, Mr Midas, Bo$$.
What happen to all the camps that was on the Westcoast Rydaz & Siccness boards when they had the artist sections?
And what does that say about our current cats thats crackin? YG, New Boyz, Cali Swag District, etc?
-
sas didnt make or help open bar really...that was xzibit and golden state more IMO....wheres sas right now? lol
-
The Soul Assassin's D.J. Muggs Clique. Muggs is still dropping fire with Various other artists in various projects. But it would have been nice if he was producing their tracks or even just executive producing for Cypress Hill, Funkdoobiest House Of Pain/La Coka Nostra.
Yeah, yeah, yeah I know the 90's are over but every group I mentioned is still dropping albums...
-
U mad queen bitch...aftermath aint done shit huh? Keep bangin as if rakim dropped a dope album himself...haha keep cryin and keep my name n ya mouth ho

No album from Soopafly, Kokane, E-White, Latoya Williams, Rage etc. Please explain how that is not a disappointment?

Death Row Records for not fulfilling thier ful potential and releasing all of their great material when they were in their prime >:(
