lol, this sounds way more reasonable than that fake list amazing came up with a month ago. What a lame.
-
A list biggin game up...come on rapsodie...always thought dre was bringin n more tho...could or would he hide money?
-
This is just for 2010 right? Cus Dre is making income from all them NWA Records, Chronic, the old Snoop dogg records, Eminem, 50 cent records so dude must make a killing off those old records everytime they spin somwhere. All those were classic or close too.
-
Jay always killin' it.
Dre & Em are always in the money
-
It's amazing that in this day and age when, arguably, the music business is in its worst state for a long time, with bootlegging, illegal downloading etc, Dre and Snoop can still be bringing in all this cash. You have to admire their hustle I guess.
-
^i guess Dre's audio talk is working

Most of it isn't record sales
-
Damn I thought Dre would of made a lot more off the headphones. I heard the headphones were wack though.
-
Hahahaha, dumb ass niggas making Dre rich off his shitty ass headphones.
-
lol...how are you guys saying that you would think some of these guys like Dre would be making a lot more? $17 M in 1 year is a shitload of money
-
Dre didn't really do shit this year so 17 mil is a fucking good figure
-
lol...how are you guys saying that you would think some of these guys like Dre would be making a lot more? $17 M in 1 year is a shitload of money

Haha they asked dre...what he thought of jay, snoop, pappa diddy pop and others doin the headphone thing...he said he aint mad but he its "my thing" meanin they takin his ideas
-
Everytime you hear him talk, a person can tell the people hes around are just leeches. They don't give a flying fuck about him, just money. Hes gotta know that. I thought he was pretty stupid for tellin Rakim to talk about killing someone on a track they were going to put together. Glad Rakim declined, Fakeness.....Common > Dre on realness....

Wtf does this have to do with Common?! Anyway Common is a sellout in the actual meaning of the word.
-
Now that u brought up common...hows he a sellout?
-
On the realness, I don't think common is a selll out.
-
Now that u brought up common...hows he a sellout?
Common was against the commercialization of hip hop in the 90s but the past few years he has been moving in that direction.
-
Who's making more money of Beats headphones, Dre or Iovvine? That's the question because Jimmy seems 100x more into them at press events then Dre is
-

Haha exactly!!!
A lot of these people co-own sport teams, appear in movies, and have other investments. Record sales is barely on here, but it would be interesting to see how much profit they have after tax, divedends (to share holders) and other expenses are paid to get a more accurate list. I bet Jay has to pay a large amount of that 63mil to other people
-
Commercial hip hop or not so much the common ur used 2 hear...i c what ur sayin but i guess theres different types of sell outs...he didnt go the tpain/akon/dj khaled route

A sellout is someone who sells out their own principles. T Pain never claimed to be against commercial hip hop. He's not a sellout, just a pop artist. Common IS a sellout because he's doing things he used to criticize early in his career.
-
I don't think he's a sell out mainly due to the fact that he still puts in meaningful topics. Even his clothing line ideas and so on are all based on retro 80s, and that original era even though he's doing modern moves in a busy fast-paced genre that's very hard to compete within financially

MEANINGFUL TOPICS VS. Make belief stories or warnings. lol

you don't understand what being a sellout means. Its about compromising his principles, not about the meaning behind his music.

Nowhere near a common fan...please give song names where he spoke on all this?
