I'm going back and forth listening to 90's west coast and 2000's songs and I feel that in the voices of many rappers in the 2000's, the songs sound a bit "unnatural" and forced. Like it doesn't have a natural flow to it, not like the 90's. Does anyone else have this feeling?

Everythin but they think lil bow wow, ugly niki, jeezy etc...are their competition otherwise y mack dime been makin wack muzik 4 years when he can still spit?
-
I think music in general has sounded forced for awhile now with few exceptions.
-
you would sound forced too if you're trying to resurrect a genre of music that died out almost a decade ago.
-
Can you define what you mean by unnatural and forced? ???
-
TBH Hip Hop itself sounds forced.

This..
But moreover, LA rap sounds the most forced. Bay area shit is still raw and innovative. Everyone in LA is doing terrible dre-ish piano beats or pop sounding r&b hooks.

I think if you listen to records like from the Dogg Pound and Daz especailly, like Kurupt has been saying the same shit for a long time and Daz is just sometimes very boring on the mic. If you hear Dogg Food and 100 Wayz or Dogg Chit you can see what I'm sayin.

your topic is too general and not clear. be specific and clear and then maybe more will partake in commenting.
