True. BUT he will have a buzz if detox drops and he is heavily featured. In fact I think he's been relying on that happening since day 1.

I mean it seems like Slim is going to be the hittman/snoop of this album. Though apparently Dre loves this Hayes character who really sucks from what I've heard.

But let's face it Eminem and Bishop Lamont are by fucking far the two best rappers in the aftermath camp. Bishop is so underrated. Would be nice to see them two all over detox but you know what i honestly don't care at all about this album anymore, dre is just going to keep redoing it until Jiimmy forces him to put it out or until the headphone money dries up and he needs a new source of income.

Hayes is dope but needs to improve his vocals

But with regards to detox i really have two theories:

a) this is ALL about money, and dre is just figuring out how to get the most money out of the album

b) Dre is coming to grips with the idea that "A poem is never finished, only abandoned." (-Paul Valery) It's his last album, so he wants it to be as good as possible - but each day of work makes the album better and better, and there really is no limit to this process - it will just keep getting better and better the more he works on it. I think he's waiting for it to stop getting better as he works, then he'll put it out, problem is it will never 'stop' getting better. So this results in a catch-22 of sorts, and the album never gets released. Now, if this weren't going to be his last album, he'd be more comfortable just releasing what he has, and then shooting for something better on the next album.

or actually there's theory c) the album kinda sucks, dre is in a huge artistic rut, and has resorted to having scott storch ghost produce the damn thing so that he has something to put out
