This is one of my fav OGs but it was too quiet, prolly not mastered. I gave it an attempt so hopefully its better... In 256kbps mp3 so good quality.

Yes you are right this is a very good song...the rapping is top notch and well done....however this I was wondering for a long time
what exactly is he saying in the first verse after he says " it's a robbery ***********Pac will you ride with me"
I really can't make it out....and on the album version this was edited and in the og it seems like it might be edited too........
It would be cool if anyone knows this........thanks

it's Snoop Dogg nigga Pac would you ride with me?
-
That is a good guess.............
If i had to guess I would say "It's ya dog nigga pac would ya ride with me"
but what is strange is that the album version is censored.........so that led me to think that he says something controversial on that line
why would shouting out snoop be controversial?????
what's wrong with that?
well they did censor "dogg father " out of the second verse.........so maybe in the first verse he is mentioning snoop.......

Thanks 8)

Definitely Snoop Dogg and "Dogg Father" I'm 99% sure.
"Throw your hands in the air, its a robbery, its Snoop Dogg nigga Pac would you ride with me..."
and
the second verse is "dogg father."
My guesses, 1) maybe it was ghost written for Snoop originally, 2) It was edited out because when it was released they didn't want any controversy or anything to do with Snoop...

Johnny J removed several death row references

Where is the OG version for this song? Is it in good quality?
-
yo this is the best song he got one of the best

when i first heard 2pac shouting out Snoop dogg on this I thought it was fake..........but now i am coming to realize by listening to other unreleased songs and how snoop is being shout out by 2pac in other songs and plus this one..that 2pac liked snoop dogg alot more than what i was previously thinking...
-
did you just boost the volume or what?

mos def - they were friends going all the way back to 1993

No, if you listen closely, I added reverb and ran it thru a plugin in Logic called "PSP Warmer." Not sure if your familiar or not... it does compresses it amongst other things....

I didn't hear any comments on the quality but let me know how it sounds on your shit. I haven't blasted it yet but...
If it is good, I was thinking of doing a few more but I need to at least get the WAV files. Maybe Just Watchin, the one with Kurupt, and ...??

Cool, yea it should be a lot better with more presence but everyone has a different ear right?
Is Street Life up in wav form anywhere? If so I'll give it a try.... I guess I need a link or a post with a link

This was one of my favorite joints on Until The End of Time, I was satisfied with the version they had on there.. but anyway, I'll peep this one and compare.

Yea me too. After listening to the OG I think it is better cuz it doesn't have that wack ass chick singing that awful hook, and the beat is pretty tight.

beat os MUCH better, no hook + no missing lines

Yo, I appreciate the thread and everything, but I just listened to this track and I have to say the version on Until the End of Time is way better, the beat captures much more emotion within it, you really feel the track as it heats up... but the beat on this OG version is like elevator music or somethin...
and what the hell was he writing this for Snoop or somethin, because he says reappeared as the Doggfather. (a part that was blanked out on the UTEOT album.

I do think this was written for snoop, from the snoop references. And it's likely because Pac also wrote tracks for other artists, for example unconditional love was for MC Hammer.

Yea the beat is debatable, definitely had a different feel to it. It was more emotional on the album and it fitted the theme of the song better. But, that hook was awful, I mean really fuckin awful, and it almost ruined the song.
I'm not surprised this was ghostwritten for Snoop, but it actually doesn't really his style tho. Tonnes of people get shit ghostwritten for them, especially the D.R.E. He doesn't write any of his shit.

I have no idea why anyone could like the UTEOT remix betetr
the ONLY songs on UTEOT that were imrpoved by being remixed were the title song (UTEOT) and in my opinion "Everything they owe" minus that gayass hook
oh and M.O.B. remix was fire too

Yeah I feel you on that. I think this is one of the rare instances where I actually prefer the remix to the OG version, although saying that I do like the OG.
And yeah, I think this was written for Snoop because of the references in the track, and also when he says 'You knooow' like Snoop would do at this time. I wonder why 'Pac took it and not Snoop?
