Michael Vick is back. 8) Siiiiick game going on there too.
The Vikings blow, as do the Cowboys; Jay Cutler looks bomb ass. 8)
Even though I should be hating Miami, I got love for them. :-X
Vince Young sucks. He doesn't have "haters", he just has realistic on-lookers lol.
Jets need a victory; NOW! 8)
-
Vince Young had a bad game against a great defense.
Cutler is beasting...I have him on my bench in my money league I may just have to start him and bench Tony Homo
-
I hope the Jets get this win over the Patriots. Steelers 2-0 without Ben!!
-

Surprise, surprise. :D
-
RAIDERS WIN!!! The road to 15-1 starts NOW!
it just got serious!
-
Lol at Young sucks. I for one haven't forgotten that he's 26-14 as a starting QB. It's one bad game, it happens.

Let's do this! :P

I hope this doesn't make you think something crazy like great teams aren't dependent on high level QB play. Everyone will throw in the same stupid-boat I've been in the past few years.
-
Steelers got lucky. We beat ourselves with terrible special teams and the inability to protect the football. Our defense was unreal. 7 turnovers isn't even realistic. And we only lost by 8 Pts? That's a good sign for us I guess

from what I heard Vince Young can't decipher that Steelers D

It was his first game against them. Give him time. They did things he hasn't really seen before. It wasn't his fault. Terrible play calling. We were outcoached. Also no protection.

ya'll need to trade for Jerricho Cotchery

ya'll need to trade for Jerricho Cotchery
We haven't had a legit #1 WR since Derrick Mason. It's frustrating. Instead of trading for one or signing an available one (Boldin, TJ Housh, Vincent Jackson, etc), we rather draft ones or sign diamond in the rough players we think are underrated. Gage & Washington are servicable but are #2 and #3 WR's on most teams. There are #1 and 2, and have been for 2 years now.
-
eagles almost lose to fucking detroit, at least everyone in the division lost also, jets beat NE, suprise, and yea, flaco with 4 picks, aint going to the superbowl like that

ALEX SMITH 4TH QUARTER COMEBACK
-
ught...there's Drew Brees for ya
-
Another great Monday nighter! SF 0-2 but they will right the ship. Could be a playoff team in that weak division.
-
Great fucking game. Somebody had to have gotten a finger-tip on that FG though.
-

If that rookie wasn't so worried about Brees he never would have muffed that punt. Same goes for those 2 scoring position turnovers by the Niners.
Give me a break. You give any team a full minute a two TOs on a tie game and you're asking for trouble. San Fran should have let up more time on that last drive. This was another case of New Orleans winning a game against a team that outplayed them due to silly mistakes. I'm really starting to hate this team.
-
The Chiefs are 2-0 and at the top of the division for the first time since Herm destroyed the team. I won't start bragging to much though, because I watched San Fransisco tonight and I think the Chiefs luck is about to end in week 3 when they play the 49ers

Remember what I told you when my prediction first started; 2-0, and then a 2-2 split for the next 4 games. If they can get to 4-2 they'll have in order Jacksonville, Buffalo, Oakland, Denver, Arizona, Seattle, and Denver again. That's a possible 7 straight wins. And a 9-2 record. From there is SD, St Louis, Tennessee, and Oakland to wrap it up. If they split that they're 11-5.
I'm not sure how it'll end up but I love their chances. And I really love their chances at home against San Fran. They've got a way better run defense than the Saints had and should shut down Gore. And Romeo can gt very complicated against a spread QB. I expect a real low scoring bruiser of a game that anyone could win. If they start 3-0 they'll finish at least 9-7. Then they get a bye to prepare for Indy, and who knows how to beat Indy better than Romeo and Charlie? 4-0 means at least 10-6, and a playoff berth.

Well I could nitpick you and say that your hero Charlie Wiess hasn't really gotten the Chiefs offense moving yet. They've been winning in spite of their offense. Cassel's numbers are way down, he had like less than 100 yards passing the first game and less than 200 yards passing the second game. And even Jamal Charles numbers are down from where they were at the end of last season. So the offense is in a rut....
That being said. You were spot on about the Chiefs record so far, and of course you couldn't have been more right about Romeo Crennel and his ability to turn the defense around almost single-handedly. It's really all the same players on defense except for a couple of rookie safeties.
So you really think the Chiefs can beat the Niners? The Niners looked MEAN on monday night. They are a hungry, angry team coming into Arrowhead. I wouldn't want to be standing in their way, they take after their coach, and they will be out for blood. I will be very surprised if the Chiefs beat the Niners.

My prediction for Cassel was one thing and still needs time to settle, but it was Romeo that made my prediction in the first place.
As for Cassel; most of that, from what I've seen in the week 1 game, was to do with the way Wies is handling the play calling. Right now they are taking the approach of let the defense win the game and keep the offense safe. Even superstar Charles isn't seeing a lot of numbers yet. I personally think they'll run with this until they lose a game or two. By mid-season the gloves will come off and you'll see some nicer offensive numbers.
But let's be very real here. Brady didn't see a 4000 yard season until Wies left. They never had a big name WR on those NE teams and Charlie worked with what he had built an offense that supported a defensive team. Which is what we have now. I expect Cassel finish this year with around 3000 yards 20 TDs and 15 Ints, give or take a few numbers here and there. But I expect the wins number to be way up, even though QBs shouldn't have that in their column.
Unless they somehow manage to make a trade for Vincent Jackson. Then the numbers might fly. Or if they get Moss next year. This KC team with Moss could get a ring.

Vick is playing like a monster. It's hard to keep a guy like that on the bench.
-
i mean monster is overstating it, but i will say this, that o-line fucking sucks, so his mobility is necessary, and even if kolb got the start, he would not be able to show whether her really good or not (and as vick as his backup, with every missed pass or game loss everyone would be scrutinized...) it's a stupid situation for kolb and the organization, and even the fans,... for vick it's great, he went from almost not being able to find a team, to getting a 1 yr 2 mill (2nd year option 5.6 mill), he will easily be able to find a team now (esp since all the dog fighting heat has died down).

He couldn't get it done against Green Bay and it was there for the taking, and big deal against Detroit. He still has that terrible passing that comes and goes and if I were Philly I'd wonder what I could get for him right now. If it's nothing spectacular then yeah I'd run with him until he fails you completely, and I'm calling it now. This is Vick's job to lose and he will lose it. I don't say this often, but I wouldn't mind being wrong on this one.

Sounds good man, nice info, and I hope your right about Wiess and the game plan being to win with defense like the pre-Moss years.
Well Chiefs have been very passive in free agency for a few years now. They've been at the bottom of the pay roll scale now for two years. Maybe they will be ready to make a splash in free agency in the offseason.

see its such a fucked up sittuation for philly, say he does good over next two games (he'll def do good against jaguars and at home to washington, probably), then say they trade him (for a 2nd rounder?) ok, now if he does good, and kolb does ass this season, the organization gets screwed, or if he stays, begins to fade, then we throw kolb in expecting vick and being impatient, not giving the young kid any time (i mean, if he starts that game AT san fran, he'll be destroyed)
if i had to guess, i think vick will have an ok season though, because again, i feel like any time kolb will be on that field, unless he is flawless, he will be judge impatiently and improperly,
