-
thanks for linkage.
-
im listening to it right now, pretty smooth....very impressive production from terrace, this album is exactly what i thought it would be. definitely gonna be chilling the fuck out to this album in the near future
-
This will get a spin tomorrow! I loved his "Love EP" and I bought the saxophone instrumental EP. I really appreciate what he does musically. Although I ask myelf how he is able to put out so much music for free, with those features and stuff. How is he paying his bills?
-
awsome! Terrace Martin is the shzinit! DL right now... thnx
-
terrace's production is much improved on here...best i've heard from him so far. a lot of his stuff has been sonically bland (while musically very pleasant) but this is much better 8)

Production on Special :o

This is best producer on the westcoast today!
-
Can't wait to listen to this within the next few days. Terrace is the best 'new west' producer. That, teamed up with the concept of the tape and guest appearances all scream classic. Will see 8)

this is much better than 'streetlights'.

wat song was that again..i forgot ???

Terrace Martin is like an enhanced version of DJ Quik. And that's not a diss and I'm not setting a "bar" on Terrace Martin, it's just at this moment he reminds me of a DJ Quik (playing instruments, rappin' about bitches, chillin, engineering and mixing, etc). He's his own guy though so don't get me wrong.

This tape, CONCEPT is amazing, the introduction of new up and coming artists working with the majors is REFRESHING, PRODUCTION is WESTCOASTAL FUTURISTIC, and overal AMAZING! This will replace when I have been bumping (E-40's son's, DROOP-E, Black Diamond MIXTAPE) for a few days to now me blasting this HERE, MY DEAR (the perfect fuck you bitch album)!
-
this is much better than 'streetlights'.
i disagree
-
its a good album! always love what T.Martin does. He is a very good producer

'enhanced' would imply superior, certainly not the case. perhaps 'alternate' would be a better word.

Props I'm downloading. Love Terrace, he's the freshest thing on the scene yet again. :)

After a few spins, this is my 3rd fav. album of the year (behind Janelle Monae's and Big Boi's). Terrace is an amazing talent (best I've heard out of the West in a min./Problem, too). Is a hard copy goin to be released? I honestly can't stand "Call Me", though. Thank you Terrace!

About 4 songs stuck out for me. The rest I could live without. The theme did correlate with what he described (something most musicians claim but never do). Terrace has lots of potential and is very talented. He reminds me of a mini DJ Quik but with his own twist and style; they definitely think on similar wave lengths though. I'd love to see a full-length big budget album from him.
-
for me, stand out tracks are:
Give Me Some Of You
Cheat
Roll Up
Special
I'm Done
Thing For You, Love Prelude (was on Lovers Ep vol.2)
Makings Of You
Hey Girl
well a dope album! keep em coming T.

Terrace is the most talented fresh producer from the west, he has potential to be one of the great ones, like many of you said hes like "new" Dj Quik
-
This album is amazing! The production is soooo elaborate and soulful. I will post a full review later this week.
I ask myself if he will ship hard copies of this, I want to buy this and support him!
If he teamed up with Quik for a new west coast compilation similar to what Crazy Toones did in 2006, it would be a 10/10 record.
-
This album is cracking. The best westcoast album this year i think!
-
Just took my time, put my headphones on and heard the album from front to back and was simply stunned several times! I just want to give out a big "Thank you!" to Terrace Martin for releasing such quality material for free.
As Si-Chiggedy said, a hard copy would be well appreciated as the production and concept of the album is superb. I didn't like Terrace's production on Streetlights as I thought his musical genius doesn't fit those "I pretend to be gangsta" beats he tried here and there on that album as well as on Signal Flow and Locke High. He just needs to be in the studio, catch a good feeling and make songs with concept and real instruments.
By the way, that Cheat track was quite familiar in my opinion. Did it feature any sample or lyrics from back in the days? Always had the feeling I've heard the track before while listening to it the first time.
-
Wow...Terrace did it with that remake of the Bobby Caldwell track "What You Wont Do For Love." Classic shit right there...keep the talkbox alive!
-
^^ great track
Don't sleep on this guys!

+1 Paul.
Nothing but positive reviews, sounds promising. Downloading now.

Yeah the other one is there too. I think it's called My Destiny. It has a solo version of that R&G leftover she did prod by Denaun Porter :)
