define "legend", then define "westcoast"...  it also depends on what your definition of "is" is.

Yes.
This isn't a very good question for a board with so many europeans. They seem to look at the phrase "west coast" and immediately think hip hop, neglecting the fact there really is a place known as the west coast and millions live there.

There are a lot of people who don't listen to his music, but that are familiar with the man if you bring up his name, and will often meet the subject with a chuckle as he is legendary not for his flow, but subject matter.

Almost every person under 30 in Northern California will know what you are talking about if you bring up his name. I'd say that earns a "legendary" status no matter how you cut it.

shit shouldn't even be a question, he's an innovator of the horrorcore genre and probably the all time best rapper out of sacramento. also, sacramento may not technically be the bay, but many still consider brotha lynch a bay legend, in the same sense that snoop is considered a los angeles legend, despite long beach technically not being part of los angeles. all northern cali rap is connected to the bay, so in essence, he is somewhat of a bay artist.

I feel what you sayin, some purists might say that the Beach and L.A are totally different "things" even though the Beach is in L.A County.    Some cats say The Bay for all Northern Cali too. 8)
