Producer Nottz has revealed his involvement on the upcoming Dr. Dre album, Detox, and promised the long-awaited music would live up to its hype.
According to Nottz, he is involved with a few Detox records as of now.
"We [got] the intro on Detox and a couple of other joints on there," Nottz revealed in an interview. " I really do think it is gonna come out this time. 'm waiting for the joint to drop. Like come on man. You have been recording for years, let's do this. He got records, he got records that will shut people down. Make you don't even want to do records no more. Like, aw man, I'm doing this for no reason. It's dudes like this that makes me want to just quit. But he got some records man, it's crazy." (Hip Hop Wired)
he looks like another producer that's promoting his "name" around.... ::)
we've heard the same things from a shitload of producers in the last couple of years, detox must be something like a 6 discs album

Another one to add to the stockpile of Detox bandwagoners. Coincedentally, Nottz has a album dropping right about now. But I'm shure he doesn't use the whole Detox thing as a promotion tool for himself ::)

You know what the best thing about the 3 year long Bishop Lamont leakfest has been?
We've gotten a peak into the world of Aftermath Entertainment.
Seriously, many of the Bishop Lamont records that leak have incredible production. I actually might make a 'Bishop Lamont songs with insane beats' tribute thread soon.
So we might not hear a lot of this 'work' that has been done on Detox. But if you want a peak into the Aftermath sound, go through Bishops catalog. Considering that most of the work done on Detox has been with the Aftermath staff, I actually think the Bishop leaks might be the closest thing we have to this 'Detox' sound we hear so many producers talk about.

If it is as you claim (and I bet my entire future savings that it's not) then Detox will be mediocre at best. Not one single Bishop Lamont track has "insane" production. Some of them are good, yes, but that's about as far as it goes. Bland beats for a bland rapper.

The only idiot here is the one's who can't see what's obvious, and yes I am talking about you. Put two and two together: Nottz has an album out now with very little buzz. It's almost became a common trade to namedrop Detox to gather attention to yourself.

Now that you mention it, you are completely right. Of course Nottz wouldn't namedrop Detox to promote himself, he let's the music promote itself because it's so good. Stupid of me to think that all the mediocre rappers and producer's who have mentioned their involvment with Detox over the years was just a promotion tool to boost their careers a little bit.
