not very impressed with this at all. devoid of funk overall and it doesn't sound very natural or organic either. far too much rock/pop influence ala maroon 5 and the throwback sounds are too corny. the worst jamiroquai album yet.

i thought it would be at least as entertaining as 'dynamite' which is probably my least favourite album from them (but still very decent). not the case. the awful cover sums it up really. however, there is a bonus track on the japanese version which sounds really good, much more like something off the previous couple of albums.

this hasn't really grown on me at all, the whole live sound they went for is just sterile. don't think i wil even bother to buy it and i copped the previous 6 jamiroquai albums :-\
the single is easily one of the better tracks - 'white knuckle ride'. 'all good in the hood' is pretty nice too, but that bonus cut i posted sounds more appealing than most of this to me. 'she's a fast persuader' is the most like some of their previous hits like cosmic girl or canned heat but again its lacking any punch or warmth in the production and never really gets going.

Yeah I can see what you mean, I previewed all the tracks. The live sound doesn't give their songs the energy they got from their more traditional production. I feel like it's trying to make me focus on the wrong parts of the songs...

I like the new album. It's a bit different from the last albums but I can enjoy it. "She's a fast Persuader" is the best track imo, the sax solo is really nice
