Ohh shit one of my favorite Snoop songs, Daz gives it another dimension, great production, great video. Great to see Daz rockin that Death Row chain...true classic.

damn, I didn't even know there was a video shot for this - dope shit! cameos from soopafly and tray dee, as well. that this song is an instant classic is not questionable.
+1 for sharing the video

It was meant for Snoop's Doogumentary EP that never got released. I remember when Power 106 used to play it a lot too. Classic song!

one of my fav's snoop tracks, classic death row ish

Doesn't get much iller than that!! Great track, and Daz was still on fire back then!
...Snoop in his last days as a Doggy Dogg stranded on Death Row! Interesting period in Snoop's life. He was still at the top of the rap game, yet not quite sure if he wanted to continue on with the gangsta image that got him there with Doggystyle. He was maturing at the same time Death Row was on the ropes, and there was really nobody Snoop could get straight answers from about the status of his albums/contracts.
It was good for him he went with Master P, but bad for his music. Because at that time I think Snoop was still making great music, but he agreed to make a No Limit sounding album for P and so instead we ended up with Game Is To Be Sold album. But ofcourse he redeemed himself with Top Dogg.

Would've liked to have seen this track on Tha Doggfather album.

This track was made probably 6 months to a year after Doggfather dropped. It was supposed to be a lead single for his 3rd album on Death Row which of course never happened.

Yeah man I totally agree with you! Such an interesting time in Snoop's life, so many opportunities, so many choices. He had a lot of them too, and they were so different. It'd be interesting to see how he'd do if he stayed on that death-row type of shit. But personally, I wish he stayed with that Doggfather type of vibe/sound. WHenever I listen to The Doggfather I always hear this mature side of Snoop that I wanna hear on his other albums.
