How Indy finishes this year might be very interesting to see how Peyton accepts a new deal. Obviously if they win it all he'll sign some huge contract for the remainder of his career, but if they lose in game 1 of the playoffs because the other team ran 200 yards on them and the Colts couldn't muster up 2 yards a carry, then Peyton might have some exploring to do.
Can we all say Jay Eeh Tee Ehs? Jets Jets Jets. Because nothing would be bigger than a New York/New York 2014 Super-Manningbowl.

I like the way you think. 8)

I'd love to see Peyton on our team instead of Sanchize

I'm still hoping Jim Irsay gets drunk at the next team party and grabs Olivia Manning's tits. It's the only way Peyt can leave with out a Lebron reaction. Anyone else goes near his mother and that person can be fired. The Owner can't fire himself so Manning will have to go to the Jets and win 3 straight SBs then retire.

Peyton isn't from Indiana like LBJ was from Ohio though

Peyton is better than Sanchez but Sanchez isn't your problem. Schottenheimer is a horrible OC
it's a mixture yes but when you get 0 points in the modern day NFL the blame goes around lol

Still he's gone out of his way to present himself as this super classy guy that cares about the little things and shit like that and it would mean more for him to walk out than any other player in the NFL. I mean, I won't care. I just think he thinks about his image.
and Come Up Shuffle; Marty Jr would have nothing to do with the new offense. he'd either have to become accustomed with Peyton's system or get fired. If the Jets or any other team were to sign Manning they'd be signing both player and coach. If it ain't broke don't fix it and there was never anything broke about Manning's play calling or play design. A bulkier o-line and some grittier WRs would have helped but in the end if you put the Colts offense with the Jets defense you're asking for trouble. And you give Manning a spring and summer to work with LT, Holmes, Edwards, Keller, Greene, and Cotchery and they might make the Colts offense look terrible. The first 18 game season might start with a 21-0 team.

well if Peyton leaves and Indiana stirs up a ruckus like Cleveland did....I owe you a Coke.

There's no way it'll be near as bad as what Lebron did. Peyton won't do any hour special TV show or leave the team hanging. "IF" he leaves he'll tell the team and the city well before he says he's leaving and he'll tell the two or three teams he's interested in to get their checkbooks ready. You can't just tell the Jets I want in. He has to let the Vikings and Niners in on the debate, and also let the Cowboys and the Raiders raise the price by letting them think they have a chance.
Of course with McFadden and Bush and Miller and those young WRs eager to learn a whole Summer under Peyton's system, given the defense they already have could make them very dangerous.

The NFL Network named Manning the #8 player of all time. With a lot of years to go he should end up in the top 3 if he gets just one more ring. I still think Unitas should always be the top ranked QB. Montana wouldn't have lasted 3 seasons in Unitas's day. Look at the injuries he got playing in the 80s and 90s. In the 50s and 60s he'd have been dead. While Johnny U would have gotten at least 4 rings on those Niners, and a lot more records too.
Johnny was so far ahead of the game physically, while Manning isn't physically any better than guys like Marino, but he's way ahead mentally. Montana was as much lucky as he was brilliant. And he was brilliant. Just not highest ranked QB brilliant.
Oh and it was Ray Lewis that spoke about Manning at #8. Saying with out him the Colts are a very below average club. I really hope somehow these two end up on the same team one day, if only for just a season.

Can't see him ever leaving. It's refreshing to see a player play there entire career on 1 team.. As a Titans fan, as much as I hate the Colts and try to hate Manning, u just can't hate him. I hope he plays there forever

I wouldn't mind Ray coming over to the Colts. He's already going to go down as at least the second or third greatest football player in the history of Baltimore. A blue and white horse shoe is only fitting. He can bring Ed Reed with him too. It'd be even better if after a disappointing season this year everyone gets fired and a new DC comes in and Ray and Ed get the boot. Parcells can make it happen. He doesn't care how good you are. If you're in his way or against his ideas you're not a Parcells guy, and you get the boot.

I can see Ed Reed frustrated with the Ravens and leaving. Ray Lewis I don't see leaving

If Reed leaves he'll retire. He almost retired last year. And I don't either will leave, or can leave. They'd have to get traded. If McNabbs and Mosses can get picked up for 2nd and 3rd round picks, I'm Indy can swing something. The last 5 Indy 1st round picks were Marlin Jackson, Joseph Addai, Anthony Gonzalez, Donald Brown, and Jerry Hughes. And one first and one second round pick could probably get you both and aging Lewis and Reed.
If just two productive years can get you one of two rings it's worth losing 3 first rounders in my mind.

Jets offense has gotten worse since holmes came back. Sanchez seems more concerned with trying to make everyone happy and it's ruining the flow they had. Edwards was wide open deep twice last game and mark didn't look his way. It also doesn't help with holmes dropping balls left and right. I've been extremely let down by his play

With that defense and LT, all Peyton would need is 2 WRs and a TE from the Colts practice squad to sign with the Jets and you guys get a ring.
