I am new to being a snoop fan and well I listened to all his albums but i can't figure which one is the dopest........
I am leaning towards Da Game is to be Sold Not Told
anyone have a favorite doggy dogg album?

I think that Doggystyle is probably doper than Da Game..........but I have listened to that one so many times I can't listen to it anymore......And I kind of dont like that part about where he says he has a "fat dick for your mouth" and says it like it is cool.....well it is cool if you are a fag.......otherwise keep it to yoursellf.....
but all things considered ..........Da Game Is to be Sold is his dopest album......

G'z and Hustlaz, Pump Pump, The Shiznit etc. are all better than anything on his other albums

It's not worth it lol,its a trap.
Seriously though yeah Doggystyle is his best album(his most recent best effort in awhile was Tha Blue Carpet Treatment,I like all of his material though) and all that....kinda overrated too along with The Chronic nothing new was said on either of these,its like 2Pac said its cool to talk about this and that but for how long?
Don't get me wrong those 2 albums I mentioned are in my Top 10.

At first, Top Dogg was my favorite. Later, Doggystyle and Last Meal kind of caught up to it. Apart from those 3, nothing else of his really stuck. Da Game... Wasn't as bad as some of his stuff. I hated it at first, but warmed up to it slightly more after a couple more listens.

Recently I'm enjoying Tha Doggfather most. This album got such cold, elegant production. I honestly stayed away from it since I listened to it when it came out. Was a disappointment back then cause everybody expected a 'Doggystyle 2'. Took me about ten years to fully appreciate the thing.
So based on which mood I'm in, it's either Doggystyle or Doggfather with Tha Last Meal as a close third.

MP Da Last Don wasn't a bad album considering u a double album which u could've made into 1 album yourself if u really felt some sorta way about it. It wasn't his best best album but it wasn't tha nigga worst either. And yeah, Da Game has maybe 1 too many Silkk The Shocker features but it wasn't wack at all, I actually brought that album when it 1st came out and the only people who weren't feelin' it were hardcore 2Pac/Ca$h Money/Ruff Ryder/RocAFella fans (and even that was kinda limited considering u actually heard niggaz bumpin tha shit around town). Snoop just caught alotta flack for it becuz once again he went against the grain and the public wasn't so warm to accepting the album. "Still A G Thang" may sound lame or extremely better than it did when it 1st came out (depends on you) but it's far from the best track on the album. People were just bein' hard on Snoop becuz people still wanted Death Row Records and not just only Snoop Dogg with some other niggaz.

Da game is to be sold and not to be Told is actually 1 of Snoop's more realer and g'd albums looking back at everything that came out and is about to be released. You can hear the hunger in Snoop's voice again (sounds like he's got something to prove and he knows it). The beats on that album aren't watered down samples and were on point for the most part but other than that the shit was a pretty great album (even without Dr. Dre and Tha Dogg Pound and there was a little bit too much No Limit on there but it ain't like they were wack exept Silkk).

Da Game is To BE Sold is the best one.......if you only get one Doggy Dogg album that is the one to get....
and people have listened to Doggystyle so many times....They dont need that album cause they can just think about Snoop doggy Dogg and those songs start playing automatically.....in there head...

Hahaha, I won't front, there are good songs on this album, Show Me Love, Slow Down, Picture This, Hoes, Money and Clout but that's about it. Mia X, Mystikal and Fiend ain't that bad either but you got about 8 songs that are practically unlistenable, Hustle & Ball, Tru Tank Dogs, Get Bout It & Rowdy and so on. An album with that amount of shit songs on it can never be his best, no matter how outstanding other songs are (which they're not).

hypothetically you could've took tha best of Snoop recorded in 98' (even before that album was released) and made it better if u wanted too. "Studio B", "At The Same Time", "Getcha' Girl Dogg", there was a couple of songs in 98' Snoop could've used to shut everybody up but I guess him and P blessed everybody else and wasn't stingy or greedy with it.

My favorite Snoop album has been Doggfather for a long ass time. I know why everyone likes Doggystyle more (Dre production, hungry Snoop flow) and I can also understand why the album gets hate (everyone was expecting another Dre-styled G-Funk album). But DJ Pooh, Sam Sneed and Daz brought out some of their best beats on that album (throw in a DJ Quik beat and it would've been perfect production-wise).
Still Doggystyle is one of Snoop's best and my 2nd favorite by him. With No Limit Top Dogg in 3rd.
