As I recall the beat was done by Reflection Eternal before or a very similar structure.  Either way, it's mixing by Dr.Dre is on point but I prefer plenty of tracks off BISD more.  Strong Enough; Man's World; &  The Invitation all are superior than this.

It's too bad Dr.Dre didn't mix the whole album because the beats are all dope, just could have used better mixing and mastering.

i think that would of helped the beats a lot, but for me a lot of it still wasn't very good. i liked 'man's world' and 'death to my enemies' the most 8)

Yeah, I really enjoyed the first 11 tracks or so and thought the rest of the track were thrown on in half ass manner.  It's a shame Man's World, They Burn Me. & Sunday Morning never officially made the album.  It's like duke can record dope material but the track selection for the album have been hit and miss since The Massacre.  I blame 50 and Iovine.

i think the idea or what seemed to be the idea for this album was relatively good but never actually came to fruition. he talked about it before Curtis as incredible, with music everyone would be feeling like crazy at the time. then it eventually comes out after supposedly being rewritten and reworked several times. considering the final project, i doubt he ever got the calibre of production together to complete a really good album with a more soulful boom-bap sound. what came out seemed far too cheap and random in places to be a thoroughly worked on concept/project. likely whatever was good only existed in a draft form then in the end something loosely based on the idea was cobbled together.

Yeah, he seemed to have sacrificed the quality either because he wants to save money (which seems like something he would do) or because the label was tired of his antics (which probably was true too).

I always liked this joint, I remember it getting bagged when it dropped cos it was "lackluster" and "another boring and repetitive dre beat". Tracks cool though, just some dope laid back shit

Well, seems like they didn't pick the ideal tracks for his last album.

It also seems to me that 50 and Dre don't really like each other all that much, seriously.

According to one of 50's books, although they're cool they are both wary of each other.

50 probably reminds Dre of the streets due to his ego and semi-uncontrollable nature and 50 probably thinks Dre is a horrible business man that's become out of touch and egotistical.
