Blazers C Oden will have another knee surgery (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=AhVIwXj6VQz_qHJLVkWDSTC8vLYF?slug=ap-trailblazers-oden)
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP)—Trail Blazers center Greg Oden(notes) will have microfracture surgery on his left knee and will not play this season.
Oden has not played since last December because he needed surgery to repair a fractured left patella.
The Blazers say that the microfracture surgery will repair damaged cartilage and is unrelated to the patella injury.
Oden, the top pick in the 2007 NBA draft, missed his rookie season because of microfracture surgery on his right knee.
The 7-footer has played just 82 games over parts of two seasons, averaging 9.4 points and 7.3 rebounds.

....they could have had Durant and B-roy on the same team :D
but then again that may not even have worked out well...not that Oden workedo ut well.
-
God damnit I wish Portland had drafted Durant and lame ass OKC was stuck with Oden.
-
on another note, Brandon Roy will be missing the next 2 games due to a knee injury.

He should become a dentist or something. He's going nowhere with basketball. He cashed in already, his rookie contract is certainly bigger than any contract he will ever get. He should move on.

or sell himself to one of these old rich European wowen who wants to be nailed by a young black man with a big dick ... he looks like hes 50 though so it could be more complicated

David Robinson was crippled his first four years in the league too. Not saying Oden is gonna turn it around but you can't completely rule him out yet.

^Amare too...how many people thought he was done before the comeback?

Bust.

The thing is that in all those players (Robinson, Amare, Hill, you name 'em) you saw how amazing they could be or already were from the get-go. When Oden played a relatively healthy season, he was still a bust. Any young black 7 footer can put up 10 & 8 if he gets his minutes.

Not really...he showed many flashes of excellence and started beasting right before he went down the 2nd time.
