Iverson scores two points in Turkish league debut

ANKARA, Turkey (AP) -- Allen Iverson scored two points in his Turkish league debut for Besiktas Cola Turka in a 74-67 defeat to defending champion Fenerbahce Ulker on Sunday.
Iverson missed three shots in the first quarter and was taken off with less than a minute left. He returned at the beginning of the second half, but did not score until late in the third. He then returned to the bench for the rest of the game.
Besiktas trailed 40-35 at half time and rallied to tie the score 53-all going into the fourth quarter, but Fenerbahce regained control to maintain its perfect league record.

7even obviously didn't even watch the game...Iverson got limitted PT. douchebag coach only played him limited minutes in the 1st and 3rd quarter...sat out the whole 2nd and 4th. I saw the game...that's also part of the reason his team lost. Stupid shit.

^ He wasn't really hitting shots either though, but AI is obviously the type of guy that is generally only gonna be successful when he gets a large amount of shots. I'm sure his PT will increase as the year goes on (or that coach really is an idiot).

in your opinion, did he even get a chance to get into the groove of the game? looked to me like he was playing bench warmer type minutes with no consistent burn.

Yeah, I watched the first quarter but after that I was more focused on the Seahawks game. I did flip back to check the score from time to time and did notice that Iverson was sitting. I guess I figured it was because he was struggling. It will be interesting to see what kind of time he gets the next game.

Naah, it looks like the coach predetermined his minutes...Iverson sat the WHOLE 2nd and 4th quarters, as if it were part of the rotation coach had in mind prior to the game. Iverson's team was leading after 3 quarters, then he sat the rest of the way. Mind-boggling, in a league where he's clearly the best.

Weird..didn't he get 15 points or some shit in his first game? If the coach keeps that up he's gonna cause a damn riot, Iverson is virtually worshiped by those fans.

It's just a mere news.. like posting about Favre announcing his retirement (again), even if you didn't watch the press conference in which he said it... I don't see how a nigga who is rolling through defenses only puts up 2 points prior to getting benched for full quarters... but if you niggas say it so be it then :D

AI is one of the greats and one of my favs of all time, i really wishes he humbles up and comes back to the NBA if grant hill can do what he does, no doubt with good training and conditioning AI and Tmac cand o the same if not better.

It was on NBA TV last Sunday but I have no idea if any of his other games will be broadcasted or not.
