Couldn't disagree more. To me, that's like saying he shouldn't have made "Doggystyle" or "Keep Their Heads Ringin" and saved all that shit for 2001. He's a producer. He's better off making new music and showing what's he got in 2010.
-
Oh!
what a beat 8)

but Kush doesn't have a new beat, it was just changed

Outta Control (and remix)
Lol, the thread's title reminded how a lot of people on here always say they want to hear what Dre was making while making the Outta Control Remix beat.

You shouldnt make a thread like this before Detox drops..
Detox beats might blow your mind...
-
What a fuckin' dumb ass thread...

truth is it's not fair to judge against the material heard so far. the album is obviously gonna be on some mega epic shit, at least in parts
but 'kush' was not a good way to start the ball rolling. dre knows it, hence all the 'that's not the same sound or content as the album' in the radio interview. his beats around this period were dope to amazing but there is gonne be at least a few joints on detox that completely smash it, including being better than all these tracks. if there aint i don't think dre would be putting it out at all.
-
well said matty...
-
Pretty sure he was talking about the content only, why else would he put the Kush instrumental in his Power Beats add then. Banging beat btw (and the track itself).

he was saying both the content and the sound. wouldn't make much sense if it was really that different but that was the word.

How We Do It Over Here
do you really like this one?
i think it's one of Dre's worst beats ever.

well he could still continue to delay the project

Detox will have Dre's 2010 beats, when it comes out in 2014.
-
Some of the beats listed in the first post were intended for Detox originally, no?

Exactley....
What a fuckin' dumb ass thread...
Couldn't Agree More!! All This "Dre Should Do This....Dre Should Do That!!" Is Getting Kinda Old.....Just STFU & Enjoy Some Good Music.....Alaaa DETOX!!!
-
I think " Cocaina" was a Rick Rock joint .The beats in this time frame were great , but became stale after a while .The violins and pianos became too predictable.....Let's hear some new stuff that will change everything like he's done before. I would actually be okay wit being placed in a 10 week coma and wake up the night before it drops juss so I won't have to wait out the nexx few monfs ....

If I recall properly he was recording music for Detox but wasn't really feeling the direction as a whole, scrapped it, and the recordings went to fuel Eminem, 50 Cent, and G-Unit.

Beats like Poppin' Them Thangs and Oh! would've been great for Detox. Oh, and by the way, why does he rarely ever make beats like Oh!? The beat progresses beautifully with each verse.

Wouldn't this be multi platinum. Imagine you didn't know these songs and would ended up on the detox album.
That would be classic. But dreams are dreams.haha
