Ok first of all i have something to say i agree with what most people have been saying about Daz not doing or droppin his best even goin as far as saying that Daz was droppin hit after hit even though it was just goin nowhere and hes just throwin it out there for us to listen to, Well here nore there people saying Daz needed high profile people and major labels and money for him to drop some shit for us. ( EX. Death Row, Dre)
What needs to happen is Daz should stop caring about other rappers and helping them out and focus back on his label and put the stuff back out that hes been puttin out since the early 90's, get back to what he was. He shoulda learned what helping people does to someones career. Daz couldnt help but to leave SOSODEF .... have u guys ever in ur freakin life seeen a more greeezy motherfucker than JD.. WTF seriously Jermaine fuckin Dupri.. reason alot of songs that Daz wanted to put out and JD didnt put out .. some might say it was 2 good for JD's style cuz hes used to puttin out trash ( TRUTH BE TOLD REAL REASON IS THAT MOST OF THE TRACKS GOT FUCKED UP FROM jERMAINES GREEEZY ASS. The JD and Daz shit is getting out of control. Daz needs to clear it up on here.
JD greezy ass fucked up the promotion, but atleast Daz got greased off the deal. I'm sure he made a few bucks.

There's some hits on there that didn't make the album. Greezy JD running around in the videos with his little ass. Trying to rap on the songs. You know Daz didn't want his ass on those tracks.
There was a behind the scenes click on Daz and JD in the album. JD was dripping like a wet jerry curl all over the soundboard. He shorted out the studio. Daz was puffing on a blunt and just shaking his head. If you notice JD doesn't go to the beach because he frys like bacon. I couldn't see how Daz would want to work with him. JD smells like straight shit. Daz had to buy 10 glade plug ins each time he tried to record a track. How did you expect him to complete an album with him??

Daz is a 37 year old has been rapper. He's never gonna make good music again, he's never gonna be a commercial success again, nobody will ever sign him to a record deal again, he's never gonna be thin again etc. Daz "fans" should just accept these facts and move on. He had his few years in the 90's, but it's 2010 now.

I can agree with the rest, but I still think Daz can make good music. His beats are still better than most of the shit you here nowadays. If he can start making smooth records again, you know, the songs where he's telling a story, not rapping about drugs and bitches ... One of my favourite Daz songs is Only For U .. If he can change his style and starts making more songs like this he'll get better response ..

I haven't heard some of his latest albums from the last 8 months or so but that "Public Enemiez" album was dope and that Dogg Pound Gangsta LP was probably my favorite solo he ever dropped. When dude is focussed, he still makes great music.

Daz decided to promote his indy releases instead of focusing on So So Gangsta so JD gave up and threw in the towel. Put yourself in JD's shoes, you secured all these acts and producers, and produced for him, and Daz was focused on his indy projects and releasing them when JD was trying to promote him. You can't establish any buzz or anticipation for an artist who is releasing his own albums. Also, this was FIVE years ago, why get butt-hurt about it......

that's true tho. but i still think it was just a ploy for promotion. i couldn't see Daz just fuckin' around with the So So Def crew like that. who knows tho, maybe he was gonna get at Dr. Dre, Daz/JD verses Dr. Dre (makes sense). We can speculate all we want tho, but at tha end of tha day I still believe it was more of a promo thing than a "rise back to fame" thing but u could be right tho, i'd be pretty pissed if I was JD too (but at tha same time it's like why, the more buzz the better but u do make a solid point tho).

It is a big deal. Daz still has it, and he needs to get out there. Even on Daz's new shit, he still has the lyrics. His flow got rough, and sloppy. He just screams now, rather then flow over the beats. He's making beats with Frutty Loops, and it sounds like a tan can and the shits getting old.

So, JD gets some major producers, and puts out the tracks he wants. He throws him in a couple of magazines for promo, and that's it. Shit, Lil' Wayne is on everything now adays, and his shit still sells. Who cares that Daz put out a few albums before his supposed to be "major" release. Then Snoop put out that DPG ablum what was just not a good sound. I knew this would happen because Snoop isn't a good person to manage how an album should be. His last 3-4 albums had 2-3 good songs on it and the rest trash. Give Daz some $$, some good producers, fire up a club banger, and he will be back. The guy knew business back in the 90's and he just got used to this indespendant game and people are buying it. Mike Dean helped him with his DPG album and that shit was hot. Him and Mike Dean got on bad term or something, and we don't see him anymore. Mike's doing Kayne's mastering and shit. Good for him. Dont get it misunderstood. I am not one of the people that think Daz fell off, Nor do I think Hes old. What I said was hes older. Meaning he doesnt need to impress the world and try to outshine all the mainstream people anymore. You said it yourself that you liked his flow on his last few albums and I did as well, I agree that maybe he could spend a little more time on the production end. He has become a bit lazy with that part but like i said, hes still making his money. Now I dont like JD either but I thought the SoSoDef album was really good and I still bump that shit from time to time. So JD was involved, I can get over it. The album was still good.

Hot Dollar was originally from Chicago, then moved to Mississipi, later settling to Compton. Suge a Compton native knew this and suggested him to Jermaine. "Evil JD" couldn't wait to sign some sorta deal with Hot Dollar promising him riches, albums & bitches. This was a desperate ploy to spite Mr. Dillinger which worked. Numerous disses between both camps ensued which later led to their infamous run in at a California car show. After putting in much work for So So Def, Hot Dollar would eventually get dropped.
