i still dont hold the falcons that high, however, they gonna prob finish 1st and murder shit at home, id rather NO finish first (and play in NO over in atl). steelers are better and so are the ravens, ugh, im still pissed the ravens lost, they had that game, but damn, the afc playoffs are gonna be so dope this year, i STILL can't get a read on my eagles, and they gonna play a not easy game in dallas next week, and then IN new york, that division is gonna go down to the wire.

I don't even know why they chose a pass play on that fumble. Just run, run it, run it and leave it to your defense to win the game. Idiots.
Still no love for the Cheifs after the Chargers got blown out at home against Oakland? If the Cheifs win next week and they're still not on your list I'll lose all respect for it. And fuck the Saints. They'll be out of the picture soon enough. I say the NFC North and East get the wildcards. Look for the Rams to make a statement this coming week and bring a little fear to the incoming wildcard team. If it's the Giants, Spagunolo is gonna eat em up. Of course don't just assume the Giants don't win the east. A lot can still happen in that division. Especially with a nothing to lose Cowboys playing the Eagles twice and Philly having to go to NY. They lose those 3 and NYG has a real shot at the Division. Then Philly will have to travel to St Louis and if Spagnuolo knew how to shut down the 07 Pats he can shut down the Eagles.
I can't see the Colts getting to 10-6, and they'll need to to get in. 9-7 might win that division but it'll be the 9-7 Jags. Indy has ro win Thursday and hope Oakland can get another upset, because if that happens and Indy beats Jack the next week. If both don't happen then forget it, because I can't see Washington winning in Jacksonville, but I can see Jacksonville losing in Houston. Of course Peyton will have his work cut out for him going to Oakland. Wayne is gonna get shut out by Asomugha (if healthy). He better hope Collie is ready for that game. It's a hell of a team when you're praying the likes of Austin Collie is healthy.

If Falcons win the NFC I can't see them losing at home
I can't wait for the AFC playoffs but I can't believe it may likely include Jax & KC :-\

Does it really matter who wins the North? Unless every Colt comes back on fire they might win a home game, and Jacksonville is gonna die in the first playoff game. KC is a smash-mouth team, and those teams always have a chance, but the North is dead in week 1 come January. There is no team I can see making the wildcard that will lose to Jacksonville. I'd bet the house on that.

It's that fucking o-line. They're looking like they did in 07. If anyone thinks that switching QBs tonight would have changed this game at all they're joking. I love the Pats and I love Bill for knowing how to build a team. I just fucking hate that glory hog princess bitch. I hope he gets injured tonight and the Pats win it all with out him.

You need to worry more about you're stupid team showing up when it counts and less about that Joe Namath recreation.

going to do a huge overhaul on my power rankings Smh @ the jets tonight

And they just help get those assholes homefield and a bye. It's going to be a fucking trial win in NE in January. Chicago better win next week because the Pack will have it tough the next week. I'm still holding out for my Bills to play spoiler and in week 17 the Dolphins will have nothing to lose.

We need a Jim Leonard replacement.
The offense is a joke. Statisitcally, the Pats suck on D.

Statistic, shmatistic, that defense is looking sharpe when it counts and getting better with each game. As long as they have those complicated schemes they'll always be able to turn the ball over. 3 Defensive TDs, 7 fumbles recovered, 18 INTs and 21 sacks. They let up points but they help create a whole bunch with INTs and 3 and outs for short fields.
And that idiot that replaced Leonard just had to play the ball. Even if he didn't get the pick, there was no reason to run into the TE. It was inept. The type of inept you almost never see on a Bellickeck team.
-
^It was beyond just that one play. Jim Leonard basically controls that defense after Rex calls what they are running. He gives the signals; we need him for that more than we need him for skill.
Although, he is better & such a solid safety to have out there.

I really think the Packers are going to come on strong down the stretch here. Still think the Bears are imposters. Jets have been overrated all year. The Chiefs are knocking on the door of the top 10.
On a side note, there is no way the Chargers are a top 10 team. Theyve lost to the Chiefs, and the Raiders twice. And this last lost...the Raiders completely dominated them.

I'm not sure I'd drop the Jets below the Saints and Giants just because of one bad loss. It was to the Pats in New England in cold weather. Saints and Falcons could have great days and still get killed in New England in December.

I would. Mainly because the Jets have been tetering the edge all year. They have had an impressive record but not been that impressive on the field. Their defense is completely overrated, and we all know their offense is weak. They have lost a game to the Pats where their defense got completely thrashed. And a home game to the Pack where Green Bay only scored 9 points. When I rank the teams, I think of who I would pick in a head to head matchup. And although the Jets COULD beat any of those teams. I dont think they would.

Not to mention the poor weather actually favors the Jets style of play. Not the Pats.

Belichick vs Rex is like watching Bobby Fischer play chess against Sloth from The Goonies.

umm so the guy from the goonies is 2-2 against Bobby Fischer in 4 games???? lol

^For real. I mean sure, we got our asses kicked. But we beat them pretty good Week 2.
The Pats clearly have made adjustments against our defense since Week 2.
But you know Rex will have another adjustment of his own if we should meet in the playoffs.
Not guarenteeing victory, but if we play in the playoffs & lose by more than 10, I'll be surprised.

I think the Pats are a different team than they were at the beginning of the season. Teams were respecting their defense too much. I think other teams are realizing that their D is really just mediocre and Sanchez is also. The Jets offense needs to have a lead to be effective. If they get behind, theyre fucked.

The Jets looked awful again.
17/44 from your QB will never win you a game.. But 5/18 did lol

yea man, jets showing no heart, they better get their shit together, that game was painful to watch.
shallow, what happened to KC defense?! i dont think they will make the playoffs, SD should win out.
oh and green bay loses to detroit, rodgers out, they may miss the playoffs to, its a tights wildcard race in nfc
ok, lets go eagles!

I fully expect SD to put up points playing at home, and I knew Croyle would have a hard time adjusting; it's not an offense you can just walk into exceed in at your first start. It takes a long time before you get to throw the ball enough to make an impact. Same with happened with Cassel in 08 and this year. KC just couldn't run the ball and had no threat of a pass. I said at the beginning they'd split with SD. KC better hope SF plays hungry on Thursday because St Louis will be tough. But SD will lose at Cinci if they get past SF or not. They'll kill Denver; that offense is finished with out McDaniels, and the D already sucks.
Either way, KC controls their own fate. If they beat the Rams they're in. And they D didn't do that bad considering how long they were on the field. The only time KC's offense was in SD territory it was after a forced fumble, and they managed to lose yards after that. They only got like 5 first downs all game. They'll be less conservative next week because if SD beats SF next week is as close to must win as it gets.
But the Chargers didn't show me anything special. There's no reason a fired up Niners playing for what is still a possible playoff spot can't fuck them up. If SF wind and KC wins then the Niners are tied on top of the division, with Seattle having to finish the season against Atlanta, at Tampa Bay, and then host the Rams. The AFC West is going to be tricky. I'm ruling out Seattle because I can see them losing all three games. But Singletary may end up keeping his job. And if they get they can be fired up to beat the Saints in San Fran. Then, if anyone can prepare a team to win in Chicago in January, it's Mike Singletary. can you imagine the 8-8 Niners in the Superbowl? Just for kicks I'd like to see it happen. Good luck to anyone thinking they're gonna beat Atlanta in the Georgia Dome though. Can't see anyone beating NE in NE either.
-
oh, and i dont know if you saw the pre game NBC show but rodney harrison was preaching what you have been about not rushing New england, and if we get an atlanta NE superbowl, highly likely, i can see NE winning rather easily. but who knows.

What did Rodney say exactly?
I think the team wit the best chance winning in NE is a team they'll take for granted. And that's KC. Indy too, nut Indy cannot win there. Not these Colts. But if KC makes it through and gets to New England they have the best chance in the AFC to win there.

on any given day any team can beat anyone (except the 2008 Lions, who may have still been better than the 2008 Rams)
the Pats worst nightmare wouild be facing the Eagles in the SB if they both make it that far

Pats can lose in the SB for sure. I just have a hard time seeing them lose in the cold weather. I still say, and you can check my posts from the 07 season, that they key to defeating that offense is Matt Light. If you figured out how to beat him you'd get Brady rattled and kill them. Everything else will fall into play if you can get past Light. Spagnuolo had him guessing on almost every down in the SB. A 3-4 defense with Light not knowing if an LB or DB is going to rush Brady will fuck them up. Too many defense worry too much about the whole line and Brady.
The 80s Parcells Giants with LT would have killed these Pats. Taylor off the edge would be Brady so shaken up after every hit he'd look like Grossman.

shallow i really cant remember
so w/ the eagles, we really saw vick get shook up yesterday, damn he took a beating, and on the one pick and a couple throws it really seemed like they rattled him, god that o line sucks, but damn, hes got skills, and an arm, and andy reid did the right thing in running the ball, shady with 143, jackson, 200+ yard career game on 4 catches. overall, the only thing stopping this offense is the suspect o-line, the defense, oh lord, i mean, just when you think they had it together, the secondary gets picked apart, we really need samuels (and a new fucking coordinator, i swear just cause Mcdermott was under JJ shouldnt give him a longer nfl career, he stinks)

It actually upsets me, not just for personal anger reasons, that Brady who would get destroyed in Philly this year will get more MVP votes than Vick. To me value means how good is your team with you? Are you needed to win? I think Matt Cassel might be more valuable this year than Brady.

yea but vick leads EVERYONE in pro bowl voting, thats gotta count for something.
