If I were the Colts I'd jump on this. When Romeo got fired I said right then and there the Colts should grab him. Instead they got Coyer. They really need to take the edge of Manning going forward, and this way even if Manning somehow walks they'll still have McDaniels, who may be a horrible head coach but can run an offense with no problems. Who knows what Tebow's fate is now. But anyone that can turn Kyle Orton into 3500 yard QB after 12 games with 20TDs and 6 picks can be a huge asset to your offense. They lost Marshall and the remaining WRs came up huge. Who was Brandon Lloyd before this year? Gaffney is on pace to close in on 1000 yards too.
McDaniels paired with Manning could be very dangerous.

To me McDaniels seems like a complete dipshit. Right off the bat he alienates Jay Cutler which eventually results in him trading both Cutler and Marshall, one of the best Qb/Wideout combos in the league. Second, he traded up to draft Tim Tebow when it's obvious that he could have gotten him way later. My friend is a huge Broncos fan and has wanted him to get fired for the majority of his tenure. Obviously Manning is much more mature than Cutler and would probably work better with him, but personally, I wouldn't want the guy anywhere near my team.

As a head coach he's immature and stupid, but if he doesn't make personnel decisions and is only focusing on things like getting WRs ready to run routes and setting up screen plays and blocking then he's perfect. Funny how you never heard a bad thing about McDaniels and his relationships with players when he was in NE. They lost Brady in week 1 and he brought Matt Cassel up to speed in no time. They lost Cutler and he made Orton a stud. They lost Marshall and Brandon Lloyd is the #1 yards WR in the league right now. I'd like to see what he can do with Blair White, Pierre Garcon, or Tamme.
There is nothing wrong with McDaniels as an offensive mind. He's just not good at running a team.

Definitely will get an OC job. Not cut out to be a head coach
Hopefully Jeff Fisher is next :P

He'll find a job, no problem.

Ten bucks says if Fisher stays and they hire McDaniels as OC, he can turn Rusty Smith into a 4000/25 man with in two years.

so he gets rid of Cutler and Marshall, and Peyton hillis....and brings in Tim Tibow. hahahahahaha.
for the record Shannahan was going to get rid of Marshall if he didn't get canned himself.

Fisher ain't staying and Rusty will be lucky to be the back up. No question VY10 is the best QB for this team right now. Fact is Titans win games with him & lose without him. Actually the team has laid down since he got hurt. The media says what they want, but clearly this team is behind Young, not Fisher.

But he can't win Superbowls with him.

Josh Mcdaniels couldn't win Superbowls with an 18-0 50TD Brady. I just said he could juice the numbers. Defense wins Superbowls; that's how the Pats won their first three and lost the lost one. Offense just keeps you in the game.

He got there though.
He didn't do shit in Denver.

He made the offensive numbers staggering, and that's all I said he was capable of. If he had Romeo Crennel running the D you'd have seen what we're seeing in KC. If that exact same BRoncos had Bill has HC and McDaniels as OC you'd see them make real runs. Brady doesn't look any better than Orton is looking. The difference is shorter fields and more 3 and outs by the D.
