The Midwest is the last region that has to have it's run.  They haven't had a true run in Hip Hop yet.  At 1 point they did have some strong ass buzz tho becuz everybody had they shit in rotation at 1 point.

Kanye
Lupe
Common
Bone
Bow Wow
The Cool Kidz
Willie Da Kid
(i think) Freddie Gibbs

but that's it tho.

They had their run they just didn't get credit for it.

2000-2010 was midwest.
2000-2004 Eminem & Nelly ran the game. Eminem is already the best selling rapper with the exception of maybe 2Pac.
After that time Kanye took over and got Twista & Common some shine to.
2006-2007 Lupe blew up.

Eminem & Kanye are easily the biggest artists of the last decade.

Cali's "run" was also overcredited, NY was still selling and was releasing better music.

The Wu alone released better music than those albums.

Close enough to be seen as a difference in opinion and not a dumb argument.
