What's up from Australia,
A lot of brothaz and ladies who post topics on this site are saying how they miss that G-Funk sound that dominated the westcoast during the early to mid 1990s. Like most of you westcoast fans on this site I still love listening to the classic G-Funk sounds of Snoop, 2 Pac, Dr.Dre, Tha Dogg Pound, Lil 1/2 Dead, Above The Law, Ice Cube, Brotha Lynch Hung, C-Bo, Spice 1, Foesum, Twinz etc., Most of you on this site believe that the G-Funk sound is dead. But I can tell you for certain that it isn't. The sound has been bottled and taken by talented chicano producers and artists to San Diego (Southern California).
A major example of what I'm talking about is a San Diego chicano artist called 'Mr.Shadow'. This guy released an album in 1999 called 'Till I Die'. If you like the G-Funk sound then don't sleep on this album! In my opinion, it's just as good as any of the classic black westcoast rap music that you all still listen to. (I'm Greek-Australian and I love westcoast rap music! Westcoast rap music has no racial barriers to me.) This album has wicked beats and basslines that make your car stereo speakers bounce. Highlight tracks off the album include 'Till I Die', '61909', 'Excited', 'Shadow Of Your Death' and 'Nielson,Bundy & Clyde'. Peace!

I downloaded two songs...it's iite...nothin like the original G-Funk, this sounds a bit outdated to me. It's strait West Coast like a mafucka tho.

I only want your true opinion of the Mr.Shadow album after you've listened to the 5 highlight tracks I've mentioned. Listen to the beats. They're straight G-Funk baby! My couzins and brothaz in Australia couldn't believe chicanos could make such sick westcoast G-Funk music like this. Peace!

That's what I'm saying. The chicanos are on top at the west at the moment.

Yeah I think most of us know who Mr Shadow is & all but there are more chicano artists then Shadow & also better ones, keep checkin' Funkadelics, SGV's, Bossplaya's... topics, they always mention some dope chicano releases.
