I just remembered...there was a disucssion here that artists like Kanye West etc are copying Crooked I with the weekly dropping of music..ie his weekly hip hop series being compared to Kanyes GOOD Fridays...
but from what i remember, Young Dre the Truth started this off...remember Monumental Mondays series?? from what i can remember, this was before Crooked I's series...can someone back me up on this or am i talking shit?????

young dre was the first

Nah Crooked started way before Young Dre, Crookeds Hip-Hop Weekly series began on April 4, 2007 with Straight To The Bank freestyle and ended on April 3, 2008 with week 52 "The Finale". Other then that he dropped few weekly freestyles even before that (March 2007)- LA City Style, We Fly High, he just didnt labeled them weeklys yet.
Young Dre The Truth started with his monumental mondays on November 19, 2007 with his track Hip-Hop Needs Discipline (Prod. by L.T. Hutton) and ended on September 29, 2008 with week 40 "Say(Save The Music)"

Young Dre released some quality material for sure. Shame we dont hear from him that much lately.

I remember some of those Monumental joints had features from Young Maylay and Good Charlotte, dope series 8).
But regardless of who started dropping tracks weekly, Kanye's likely to be the one everyone's gonna think started the trend.

Crooked was the first to do it.
Young Dre was the first to put out his own songs (some old, some new).
Kanye is a biter, lol.
