I THINK that:
Busta - Get You Some
Busta - Dont Get Carried Away
50 - Outta Control Remix
Snoop - Imagine
Game - Westside Story
were all meant for Detox at some point..

Thanks, but not what I'm asking for. In other words, I'm asking for Dre+Mel-Man co-productions with Scott Storch and/or Camara Kamdon on the keys and Mike Elizondo on the bass. It's obvious X's beat was made during the 2001 sessions, so I'm looking for more.

Imagine was an amazing beat, that was definately for detox.
I heard snoop begged for that beat lol
-
hold up wait a minute...this is about 2001 not detox
the only stuff that comes to mind is like X, Bitch Please, Str8 Westcoast Remix, Game Don't Wait Remix, Lay Low. not sure about the timing of each of those tracks, but every one sounds exactly like it coulda been on 2001.

Well pretty much every Dre production in the 2-3 years before & after the release of "2001" that's ended on some other artist's album I'd say; all the Aftermath roster got their share, then what was left for whoever could afford for a Dre production!
And I'm sure there are still dozens of them tracks nobody but the studio people at that time have yet to hear! I remember Dre saying he did like 100 or 200 songs just to retain some 20 or so.
And it's just going to be the same way with "Detox"!
-
All the Dre produced songs on Top Dogg were 2001 leftovers
Same with the majority of tracks on Restless, and Marshall Mathers LP, like Remember Me for example.
Detox is a little different it seems like to me because so many artists submitted "reference tracks" specifically made for Dre. I am sure their will be a posse cut here and there that may see the light of day but Detox seems to be more suited to be a Dre solo album more or less.
-
damn no one mentioned 'Blaaw' yet? that has to be one of the best 2001 leftovers. it was moved to hittman's unreleased album, i believe.

Speaking of Hittman, does anyone here own an actual copy of Hittmanic Verses? I was wondering in the credits if the Dre tracks were actually mixed by Dre.

All of the Dr. Dre produced tracks on "Snoop's No Limit's Top Dogg" were originally intended for "Chronic 2001". Eminem's "Remember Me" cut was originally intended for 2001. I even heard at some point even the cut Dr. Dre did featuring Eminem that would later appear on the "Wild Wild West" soundtrack was considered for 2001.

where did you get that from?
i remember reading that dre said that he did that one for NWA.

Indonesia - Recorded in the summer of 93, Gimme Fifty Feet & Can't C Me were all that were done for the album. They spent a huge amount on the Natural Born Killaz video, that it just had to come out on the latest release to benefit from the investment - that being - Murder Was The Case soundtrack
