DJ Premier had a good story about a run-in with Suge Knight while hanging out with Biggie at the New Music Seminar back in 1995. "I'll tell you an ill story. The day after Suge did that at the Source Awards was a New Music Seminar convention. [People thought] that Suge needs to watch him himself because he'll get jumped in New York. No. We were at a panel with Buckwild and a couple other brothers...Me, Big and Buckwild are kicking it, laughing, chopping it up," Preme explained. "All of a sudden, we hear someone go, 'You.' We look and it's Suge Knight. We were all leaning against the wall. I go, 'Me?' He goes, 'You.' He comes over and goes, 'Yo man, I didn't really like those songs you did for Rage.' I was like, 'Yo, I didn't want to do the songs but your staff told me I had to. I didn't have time to do it but that's my homie and I want to be on her album.' He goes, 'Don't worry about [it]. When can yo do some new beats?' I go, 'Couple of weeks.' He goes, 'Well, Dogg Pound is coming out first so you got another month.' He was talking very civilized. I gave him a hug. Big walks up to Suge and says, 'Ayo, I want to get in touch with Dre to do a couple of songs on my new album Life After Death.' Suge just looks at him and goes, 'Yeah, aight.' And walks off." Damn. I’ve seen many rappers (unknown) do that before Jay-z act like he was a special god for simply reciting and memorizing. SMH. That’s all it is. Anyone is able of this. People just thought of the conventional writing and then rap so they think this is so special. It’s not.
Crazy thing i see real wack rappers do it very lil time. ex: Lake The Kid only writes this way.

Im tired of idiots thinking that Jay-Z actually does that all the time or that he never writes shit? Dude that fag is not the only one that did shit like that. Pac was also know to be able to go off without writing. Its really just memorizing what you will say, which is not necessarily a freestyle. Eminem, Crooked I, Nas and many others can do it. Especially Mc's who been rapping for fucken decades. I see that shit first hand with dudes who ain't even famous. Jay-z talks about it like if nobody else can do it. As a matter of fact, that bitch needs to start writing more because a lot of his shit sounds off. His flow is sometimes off with the beat and should re-consider doing more writing since most of his shit is wack and overrated. For all the Jay-z lovers, i'm not implying overrated as him not being good but him NOT being the greatest, like he claims.

I agree plus I don't people who listen to their material could care less if you write it on paper, without, freestyle, take 5 min to write it, take 2 months to write it as long as the finished product sounds good and is at your best.
