Saints at Seahawks
Jets at Colts
Ravens at Chiefs
Packers at Eagles.
Funny, all the away teams are favorites in my book.
I'm not going to lie though, the Jets/Colts game is a coin flip; we could easily lose that game. The rest I take the Saints (-7), Ravens (-4) & the Packers (+3) (they have to be the underdog, even though I like them).
My spreads are fictional, but I'd assume they are in the right range.
Superbowl prediction: Packers/Pats.

gimmie the Eagles, Jets, Saints and Ravens
it's so hard to pick against the greatest QB ever (Peyton Manning) but I think the Jets will be motivated enough to win on the road.....call it wishful thinking ha.
-
That's what I'm saying. The obvious move would be to say the Jets will win no doubt. But I can't really count today against the Bills & other than that the defense has been a little suspect to me.
Peyton could tear us up & an average defense can hold us to under two scores.
Scary.

My winner picks..
Saints
Packers
Ravens
Colts

Why is everyone thinking the pack wil beat philly??????

Why is everyone thinking the pack wil beat philly??????
-Packers already beat them in Philly this year
-Packers have a far better defense
-Vick might be neutralized by the cold weather
-Without the concussion Rodgers suffered against Detroit, its safe to say the Packers would be 11-5....or even 12-4 since they almost beat New England without him
-If Philly didnt happen to win their division, Green Bay would technically be ranked ahead of them (same record but Packers have tie-breaker)
Should be a good game. And Philly can win for sure. But I do think the Packers are dangerous. I wouldnt be surprised to see them make it to the Superbowl. They almost beat the Falcons in Atlanta. Almost beat the Patriots in New England (without Rodgers). Crushed the Giants. Shut out the Jets in NY.

ugh honestly out of those 3 dames, anything could happen.. well, i dont see the ravens losing though. but the eagles/packers jets/colts , wow, who fucking knows?

If the Chiefs had won yesterday I would have predicted the Cheifs D and crowd noise to destroy Flacco. Now I still think it's possible but I'm not assuming anything. I didn't watch the game so I don't know exactly what happened to the pass attack of the Cheifs, because ven before the two picks which pretty much seemed like desperation throws trying to make a comeback, the numbers look horrible. Maybe hearing Wies was leaving let down the boys, maybe Oakland played hard with nothing to lose and got some breaks. Not sure. I fully expect McDaniels in KC next year, unless him and the HC still have beef.
I could tell in Wies's interview that he didn't like taking orders from a guy he used to give orders to, and I also think the orders he was given didn't sit well with him either. It's one thing to be told to go against your guy from the big Tuna or Bellicheck, but from Todd Haley? And if that's the case I could see that being a problem with McDaniels too. But we'll see.
As for my picks tro beat the spreads whatever they are; Seahawks, Colts, Packers, and Cheifs. But to outright win the games I say Saints, Colts, Packers, and Ravens.

Seahawks will destroy the Saints, they are clearly the inferior team ;)

it IS a long flight to Seattle from NO and the weather will probably be cold (40s) and potentially rainy
but still NO should win big

The Ravens will handle the Chiefs. What happened to the passing attack on Sunday was that our D-line completely dominated their O-line. We have a good front four...but Seymour wasnt even playing. The Chiefs still had seeding to play for, so they were playing to win. But we really shut them down. Even shut down the run. Charles had one big run. But other than that, they couldnt get anything going against us. Remember, we didnt even have McFadden playing either. Bush still ran all over them...I can only imagine what McFadden would have done.
Bottom line....I dont see anyway the Ravens lose this game.

after listening to my sports talk guy i feel a bit more confident about the eagles, they are a team that usually prepares well esp after 2 weeks, 2 losses in a row (1 is bullshit) but at least a lot of the players will be healthier and well rested. plus we pretty resiliant. i mean, rodgers will destroy that secondary, but if its a shootout, which is highly likely, i like the eagles chances in putting points on the board.

You also can't forget about the 12th man, but yeah, I'm not feeling too confident about this one lol

IMO this will be the most entertaining game of this weekend for sure. Im a Raider fan, but I would like ONE of these two teams to make the Superbowl for the NFC. So whoever wins, Im pulling for them the rest of the way. I just think that Green Bay defense is really going to get after Vick.

i mean after clay mathews made kolb his bitch for life, and after winfield made vick his bitch, if the eagles dont find a way to pick up the blitz it just shows what a joke they are, i know the line sucks, but they need to stop relying so much on vicks legs to get him out of a blindside blitz, he needs help!

Vick's left handed though right? Winfield wasn't even coming off the blind side on some of those. This was simply a case of a guy being able to track Vick.

yea they were talking about how vick's vision was just off that game, he just wasnt seeing these guys coming at him, that mixed in with bad protection, jesus. but thats on reid too, that happens once, the next time put shady to be right there for a quick screen and he bursts. ugh, we will see, eagles are usually* a good prep team, its just on the field that reid tends to be retarded. (you are down two touchdows with i dont remember how much time, but 1 timeout and you go for a field goal)

I really think the difference was Antoine had his number that day, and that's all there is to it. Vick was out performed athletically when he usually outperforms the guy rushing him.

They have a real weapon in Mccoy, some well times screen passes can slow down the blitz some. Reverses to Jackson as well. They just need to be creative. They have the athletisism to do some crazy shit.

WHAT A FUCKING RUN! :o
Marshawn is the fucking man.
What did I tell you about that Pete Power? Seahawks = 2011 champs. 8)

Its a shame there was no separate topic for Seahawks vs Saints. Marshawn himself deserves his own damn topic after that play, oh my goodness

I believe I was the first to say the Colts should jump on Lynch because they lack a power game the second the Bills said they were trading him. Imagine how many 3rd and 1s last night would have been 1st and 10s. The guy can make things happen with his power and grit. The Colts need guys like that.
-
So much for the Chiefs. Nerves got the better of them early. That Charles fumble changed the game. Then that 4th and 1 stop sealed it. The Dex fumble and the INT was just bonus points. If Charles doesn't fumble and they score even a FG this would have been a whole different game. You can only expect so much from defenders if you have them out there that long. The refs didn't help ether. But they've been helping out these Ravens since the Bills game.
For the record, I only predicted playoffs in year 1. Not playoff victories.
-
Green Bay's Jones should be ashamed of himself. A pass so perfect should not be dropped, ever.
-
:grumpy: threw the game away, literally. not only the 2 unforgivable missed field goals, but to underthrow a pick like that on 1st down with plenty of time left and good field position, fuck, gb deserved to win that game, but we still could have won

GB had their share of mistakes too. That dropped TD at the end of the first half would have more than covered for those missed FGs.
The question now is what do you do at QB. I think this season was the best you're ever going to get out of Vick and I think you can you can go to the playoffs and lose in week 1 with Kolb. That year Cleveland went to the playoffs with Derek Anderson I was the first one to say trade Anderson now and get the most out of him because it'll only be downhill from here. So now I'm saying see what you can get for Vick right now and if the deal is right I'd make the trade. If Kolb can get you something in the same range then trade Kolb I guess, but I don't think they have the same trade value.

the fanbase will crusify banner, laurie and reid if they get rid of vick now, its ironic becasue they wanted to crusify the team for picking him up but i would say about 80% of the fanbase likes our chances better with vick , and i agree, with a couple pieces here and there this is a superbowl team. however, i dont see much trade worth for kolb, if we can get a 2nd rounder, i would do it (he is geting payed well), however, more problems arise w/ money cause after franchising vick this year, we gotta pay him after that, and i dont want no jake delhome shit, a lot of factors but vick has got swag, even if he lost this game, and he's got a following, there was a reason reid went with him in week 3 (?) and not back to kolb

I'm predicting right now that Vick a) performs worse then this year next year, and b) doesn't play a full season. So if you trade him and the fan gets mad, they'll get less mad when they see him crumble somewhere else. I'd see if I can get a first round pick from Cinci, because no way is Vick surviving 6 games against Pit, Baltimore, and Cleveland.
