since the end of the eyar is upon us, which album do you think was the best westcoast album of the year (not counting eminem cuz he ain't from the west coast). I know there are many, many, many, many others that could be posted in the poll, however these albums were the most talked about, and i put both Daz albums down in one lot because "I go tlove in these streets" as an EP. My choice goes to The Relativez. Their album was banging from cover to cover and was one of the few cd's that were in my rotation for an extended period of time. a close second would be WC's album, then DJ Quik's album.
-
WC, Snoop,Xzibit's album dont count because they just came out so my choice will be Shade Sheist
-
Shade Sheist. I didn't hear all of those albums, but from the albums I did hear I think Sheist's album is the best.
-
The Relativez - The Takeover
This album didn't have one bad track, and came out of nowhere in terms of dropping dates. Also had great production and guest apperarances.
-
I haven't heard all of Shade Sheist, and I don't want to be an asshole or close minded, but I heard about 5 tracks from Shade's album, and even tho he usually has dope beats, I think he is sorry as a rapper, and even if I heard his album I doubt I would pick it as album of the year. Thas jus how I feel bout it.
I had to go with WC..it was hard choosin between WC and DJ Quik....Quik's album was coo but honestly I think it was his worst album ever, which isn't sayin much since his other albums are all dope. But the chorus from Gina Statuatore, Murda 1 Case, Everyday, Birds and Beez, those choruses were weak as hell to me.

Quik released the best album of the year, hands down...
Then King Tee's "Thy kingdom come", and third WC.
-
WC and DJ Quik, for sure.
-
wc...other than a couple others the west was dead
-
Man Vs. Machine
-
Better Dayz
-
2 Pac - Better Days
I also loved Xzibits and WC's
-
In my opinion it was Blackalicious - Blazing Arrow due to it's diversity in production and Gift Of Gabs performance on the mic which proved he's one of the best MC's on the West Coast right now.
-
Tha Relativez - The Takeover then WC - Ghetto Heisman
-
WC - Ghetto Heisman, no doubt. (Can't speak for Quik though, can't get that shit here. But the Greatest hits is tha shiznit!)
-
1. WC
2. The Relativez
3. Quik
-
King T - Thy Kingdom Come
-
I voted for Xzibit, but I'm starting to like WC's more...PeACe
-
wc ghetto heisman

Whatup peoples,
My choice for Westcoast Album of The Year would have to be;
Snoop Dogg - Paid The Cost To Be The Boss
I also loved Doggystyle All-Stars - "Welcome To The The House Vol 1" as well.
I liked all the albums on the list and others too. It was a good year in terms of QUALITY for west coast albums. Sales were a bit low which I don't really understand, maybe we'll all have to start buying 5 copies of each westcoast album we like to boost sales!
