Dope ass interview. Sounds like a promising future.
That's something a lot of people don't take into consideration. They made that first album in a week. Now they got time, the right backing. Very exciting stuff.

Jimmy Iovine isn't the devil everyone makes him out to be. He always demands a big single before an album launch and can you blame him ? You're signed to the biggest label in the world, of course he'll want a crossover hit. And if you look at it, almost every critically acclaimed album has that hit that put it over the top.

this is true, but artists who aren't quite so pop-orientated have often made the mistake of signing to an interscope umbrealla label and sitting on the shelf because the timing wasn't right or didn't want to water down their music or whatever. i have a feeling Em/SH have the flexibility (due to Em's recent success) to actually put something out, massive single, non-perfect timing or otherwise. i presume they wouldn't be as stupid as previous artists as to just sign, hope for the best and that maybe jimmy will greenlight a release if he feels like it. would they? if dre starts getting involved more it could be a bad sign

Another thing people don't take into consideration is that the first album tends to be the best :-\

Yeah, because the first album tends to be the best stuff that a rapper thinks up years before he is signed; plus they also have the drive to make something great & most importantly, it isn't made in six days lol.
