It seems Slim Da Mobster has gotten back on track with the “Freestyle Friday” sessions. Here we have a new record produced by Nottz, featuring Xzibit called “Don’t Believe You“, which I assume is off Slim’s upcoming mixtape “War Music“. You can click here to download it We have another record with California Legend Jayo Felony called “Funeral Music“. The joint is produced by Babyboy and is definitely CRAZY production wise. Click here to download it. Be sure to follow @SlimDaMobster and @IAmKlypso on Twitter.

Props homies much appreciated 8) gonna let these marinate and drop my thoughts later, churrr
-
props.
the first one the beat is from the snoop/royce joint on the nottz LP.
second one is pretty nice but slim sounds kinda unpolished compared to some other stuff.
'beef' is a lot better than both - doper beat, doper vocals. but looking forward to hearing some more mobster joints soon.
-
wont download either.. boring.
thanks though
-
Props!
-
I thought Bishop Lamont had questionable vocals but damn Slim tha Mobsta sounds horrible. I know Hayes doesn't sound great either but he's far lyrical than Slim. Jesus, he comes off like a shitty 50 cent.
-
Lovin some new X-to-tha-Z!!! :o
Did Slim's Kush mix ever leak in CDQ?
Props again!!
-

nice tracks, something new to bump and the productions tight.
-
Sweet. Especially Funeral is nice. I'm gonna say it again; he brings you back to that 50/Game sound from 04.

he sounds like 50 cent to me too :-\
-
funeral music is a banger ! :o
-
y'all really feeling this ish? come on y'all can't say these vocals are straight muffled trash. charles hamilton spits livelier than this
-
Sounds nothing like 50 cent, unless you talking about style? He seems like he has more lyrical skill than 50 though.
-
nice songs, but I've yet to hear lyrics from Slim that have impressed me at all. I get the feeling he's gonna be one of those rappers who can't really rap.
-
What makes Slim stand out is just the fact that he's from Aftermath, other than that nothing really stands out from this dude. Hope he can prove me wrong in future.
-
Damn, the beat on "Funeral Music" is fuckin INSANE :o
-
Both tracks are Nice !! Thanx 4 those links 8)
-
Jayo Felony and Xzibit drop average verses and they're still miles ahead Slim Da Mobster. Is this guy really going to be on Detox?
-

really? At least 50 has the hot line now and again.

Agreed. 50 is much more lyrically sound than Slim IMO. It's more a matter of what 50 you gonna get on songs.
-
The Funeral Music's beat is... damn I have no word... next level shit :o

TRUE but it also depends what you consider a HOT line? HAHA! Maybe the OLD 50 but most of his new shit is fucken wack and repeats the same lyrics over and over. Slim has not really showed us much but i can tell the guy has skill. Not saying he is the next NAS but comparing him to the typical Gangsta Rapper now a days. Plus the dude seems real and there is no question this guys is not FAKE. I think 50 NEW YORK slang sometimes makes you think he is Lyrical but i don't go much by flow but actual lyrics and word play. 50's Old school shit was dope though.

I haven't heard one line worth quoting
-
Still waiting to see this star quality in Slim, I mean he's dope, but nothing outstanding. Is he dropping two mixtapes? "The Trailer" and "The Movie"? Beef had "The Movie" in it's ID3 tags and these ones had "The Trailer", anyone got any info?

like my girl is the game with her titties out :cow:
-
Lyricism and wordplay is directly related to flow. What makes wordplay unique is when they flow over a beat and surprise you by staying on time and spitting a wicked line. Jeeze!
Out of everything this kid made one or two decent songs.
His vocals are muffled trash and his lyrics aren't impressive.

Son, flow has nothing to do with lyrics or wordplay, you could have the illest flow on a track and be spitting nothing but bullshit. Top teir emcees have a sick flow, and lyrics to go with it, but you don't have to have good lyrics to have a sick flow and vice versa
