Let me guess, you heard the o.g. of "Still Fuckem," and the Homicide produced version of "BNK." Is that correct?

Yeah or the "Everything I Luv" snippet that was used for the Ruthless Records hotline?

There should be a lot of people out there somewhere that got to hear that one. I still think that maybe that webmaster from Channel Six may still have that one. Just a hunch, though.

The webmaster over there really has heard a couple of the unreleased tracks. Not sure if that was him though.

Don't think that one was ever finished. Tomica said in an interview a couple years ago that work had been started on it, but she didn't really elaborate. Not sure if that means Eazy recorded his part or GN'R recorded their part, or both. But at any rate, it didn't sound as though the song was completed. Also, I'm not sure if that's one that they still have or one that got stolen. She was talking about putting some audio up on their website during that same interview (not sure what all would have been posted), but that was I think around 2006. I'm pretty sure that their website has been "under construction" that whole time. So it's been "coming soon" for like 5 years, which is completely ridiculous.

i would love to hear some unreleased eazy. maybe original or alternate versions to some songs. not much was released after erics death

Pretty sure Rhythm D and probably Ruthless both have access to the og versions of the tracks on the "Impact of a Legend" set. Unfortunately, they don't appear too interested in releasing them. Also, I'm sure Ruthless has that og version of "B.N.K." that Homicide produced during the first time he was signed to Ruthless. I'm guessing "24 Hours to Live" has an OG version too, because the one on "Decade of Game" was produced by LT Hutton, and I'm fairly sure he wasn't producing for Eazy back when that track would have been recorded. If I had to guess, I bet Ruthless has more og versions of released Eazy tracks at their disposal than they do completely unreleased finished Eazy tracks.

Pac has had remixxed albums. B.I.G. has had remixxed albums. Even Big Pun.
And yet E's just sitting out there... The model for it, like it or not it is Puffys' - get big name / classic favrotie /flavor of the month producers, remix E's tracks.
That Impact Of A Legend was awful. If done right a few years ago, Ruthless coudl have totally capitalized off the buzz the west had, in 199 / 2000 and even in 2003 / 2004 - but they're fucking sleeping. Makes me wonder if they even know where the majority of the acapellas are!

Agree for the most part about "Impact of a Legend." In the case of "Impact of a Legend" though, Rhythm D was working from the original tracks or at least original song components. I'm not sure if all of them were originally completed songs. I remember Rhythm D specifically mentioned one of the songs on there being originally produced by Big Hutch from "Above the Law." I don't think he ever specified which one that was, though. Also, I think Yella produced the original version of "Still Fuck 'Em." Ordinarily I like Rhythm D's production, but in this case, I don't think this was anywhere near his best stuff. For instance, his production on "Switchez" in my opinion, wasn't nearly as good as "Get Your Ride On" from Mack 10's "Recipe," which he also produced. Also, it was pretty obvious that Rhythm D was trying to use this project as a vehicle to promote his own artists, who were all over that release, while there weren't any appearances from any of the artists Eazy had been known to work with.
To your original point though, I'm not sure how many of the acapellas they have, but I'm sure (from reading various Rhythm D interviews) that they have the original tracks (acapellas, instrumentals, etc.) from the songs on "Impact of a Legend." I woudn't mind hearing them remixing those, or releasing the originals.

anything he created from the str8. off tha streetz sessions or it's on sessions. impact of a legend needs to be released in og form raw and uncut and not remixed and patched up.
-
From what I remember from an interview from The Source, Eazy was saying that Str8 Off The Streetz.... was pretty much finished. I think he even played some of the tracks for the interviewer. If somebody has the mag with Eazy sitting on the cover, check it. I could be wrong though.

post it . someone needs to create a making of piece on str8. off tha streetz of muthaphukkin and (or) it's on. talking to the people who were there. song writing process, beat selection, collaborations, etc. that would be ill.

Co-sign. E`s impact on tha game is greatly underminded, westcoast fan or not.

I think I remember the issue of "The Source" that you're talking about, because they even name one of the tracks by name. It was called "Remember Me, The Doctor." It was skit rather than a song though. And it was another diss to Dre. I always wondered what happened to that track. There's a pretty good likelihood it was one of the ones that "disappeared" from Ruthless Records offices before they were locked down, after Eazy was admitted to the hospital. A friend of mine sent Tomica an e-mail back in 2003 (this would have been shortly after they released "Impact of a Legend"), asking her if there was anything left to release. She actually replied back and said she was aware of about a dozen more songs existing (confirmed both "Everything I Luv" and "Yellow Brick Road to Compton"), but said that many of them were not in their possession and they'd been unsuccessful in tracking them down. Past that I think there were some other partially completed songs and quite a few beats produced for songs without vocals. Who knows, maybe there are some others out there as well that Tomica is not aware of, but it does seem like much of what's left is not in their possession.

And don't forget about the o.g. Sleepwalkers version (without Bone) where E is rapping about setting Snoop on fire and forcing Dr Dre to eat his own testicles! ;D Would love to hear that one! :o

Str8 off tha streets was supposed to be a triple album and then Eazy was going to retire after that. Either double or triple album, can't remember exactly but I am leaning towards triple. Yella also has 2 or 3 songs that he says he is the only one who has the songs and they are very personal to him and he most likely will never release them.
Check the Yella interview w/ The Formula for info on this stuff.

I remember an older interview with Yella where he mentions having two unreleased Eazy-E tracks. One was "Still Fuck 'Em" which was later released on "Impact of a Legend." The other was an Ice Cube diss track that Yella said he would never release. Even though the "Still Fuck 'Em" track was released on "Impact of a Legend," I'm sure Yella's version sounds way different because Rhythm D remixed it and removed MC Ren from the track, and replaced him with Phalos Mode.

cool, good to see this thread still going.
im wondering if i should type in the lyric's to one of the unreleased Eazy tracks i heard.
anyways, someone mentions the OG version of Still Fucke Em.
These a few that i have heard
Still Fuck em (Original Version)
it features MC Ren
it's a dope song and actually has a extra Eazy verse to it .
the whole vibe of the song and theme is kinda like a FUCK The Police type theme.
No more tears(Original version)
features a ruthless group.
not sure what the OG version is titled.
It was produced by Eazy-E
I heard another song that was produced by Eazy-E and it features a Ruthless group.
Production is tight and this song i have not ever heard publicly.
The flow of the song is very similar to sleepwalkers. and actually says a few lines from sleepwalkers.
No its not the lost or cut verse or version.
Those last two are a very interesting to listen to because they are produced by Eazy-E.
must be some of his later production work around 93 94
other than that, i have heard the OG BNK version . the quality is studio but eazy's flow is different than the song that was released.
and ofcourse it doesnt have "Pound" muted out.
on that part were it says," i caught some niggaz from tha POUND out of bound ....."
just some shit i wanted to share.
catch u all later.

I doubt they would release them, Ruthless probably has rights to a few and after Eazy died somebody stole some of the masters tapes.

Btw, he did do a song with Guns N Roses, but Geffen has the rights to that song.

Meh, I know he didn't right his own lyrics, but that doesn't bother me from listening to his music, same thing with Dre.

same here. but he's credited where he wrote on records. another thing i'd say is there is no rapper more west coast than eazy was. he repped the west thoroughly.

There was an OG Version of Bone Thugs' track called "Mr. Bill Collector" that had a line by Eazy-E, but he wasn't feelin it and told DJ U-Neek to delete it...
An other track that Eazy-E was originally to be featured on was "Strictly For My Grind" also a track by Bone, Eazy never had the chanse to do his line bcuz he died...
Bizzy Bone also stated that there are around 5 records with Eazy-E, and two have been realsed that are BNK and Sleepwalkers.
Sleepwalkers had originally also a full version with ONLY Eazy-E, but they accidently deleted Eazy-E's other lines when they were mixing and cutting with the track...
And the Yellow Brick Road featuring Guns N Roses, Slash has that track in his vault.
DJ Yella, Dr. Dre and Jerry Heller have also some tracks...Jerry Heller didnt want to realese 3 songs that was origanlly going to be on Impact of A Legend...Impact of A Legend was pure bullshit that got fucked up by bitch Tomika and Rhytum D who put his own whack ass crew when there could had been features by MC Ren, Cube, BGKO, Dresta, Dirty Red, ATL and BONE. So thank them 2 for a flop album!
I have also heard that the original version of "Creep N Crawl" had Bone Thugs in it, just like "Still Fuck 'Em" had MC Ren in it.
And also Lil Eazy-E said that he has a line from his pops that his going to put on the Prince of Compton album, and no its not "Me and My Gang" that just a line from "Nobody Move".
Thats what I know...Ruthless got robbed once and they stole some Eazy-E tapes...so yeah it's bitch Tomika fault...Impact of A Legend should had been FIRE! but it came out OK...

Just thinking about your post a little more. Do you have any idea what the name of the tracks are with groups from Ruthless that you mentioned? The ones you said were probably from around 93/94? Was the og to "No More Tears" titled the same thing, or did they just come up with that name for the "Impact of a Legend" set? Also do you know the name of the Ruthless groups that those tracks were recorded with?
Is the extra Eazy verse in the OG of "Still Fuck 'Em" a longer version of the second verse that can be heard on the "Impact of a Legend" set. On that version, it's sounds like Eazy's verse starts out already part way through and ends early.
Also, yeah, any lyrics or information that you feel like sharing about these tracks is always appreciated. I would say it's unlikely we'll get to hear them, so at least having some information on them would be cool.
Thanks for the info, btw.

what are the chances of these being released or even snippets being released?. The only music i really have been anticipating for a long time is some unheard Eazy music. That impact of a legand crap wasnt an authentic Eazy cd. The best unheard Eazy that has been released was that Sleepwalkers track which was released in 2000 and that verse wasnt even complete.
on a another note, why is Eazy's music so hard to properly release?..its obviously out there, so why is it so hard for the original owners to release the songs? what do they want?.

I think Ruthless has a few tracks they could release if they wanted to. However, the reason most of it is so difficult to release is that the people who legally own the rights to the songs (Ruthless Records), don't physically have many of the tracks in their possession. Many of the tracks were stolen from the Ruthless Records offices shortly after Eazy went in the hospital. Tomica actually had the place locked down when she realized what was going on, but by that time, a number of tracks were already gone. There's probably still an outside chance a track here or there might leak onto the net. But I think the reason that hasn't happened so far, and the reason it may never happen is A. there just wasn't as much unreleased material from Eazy to begin with as there was from some of the other late rappers like 2pac, for instance and B. outside of his core following, there's just not as much demand for his unreleased music with other people as there is from some other artists.

after his death, a lot of legal issues started
