Anyone else watch this show? I just got into it recently after catching a few of the early episodes. Now halfway through the second season.
Worthwhile TV - on a base level it's similar to Entourage, in that it's an escapist comedy-drama with plenty of wish fulfilment. In just about every episode the main character Hank is getting laid and generally playing by his own rules. What keeps that from getting stale is the rollercoaster dynamic between Hank and his daughter and estranged partner Karen.
Anyway, I'd recommend it. David Duchovny has always seemed like kind of a smug dick to me, but he works in this show since, ultimately, his character is meant to be a smug dick. He carries it off with just enough charm and humour.
Heard Season 4 just started up in the US, and a fifth has been commissioned. Based on what I've seen so far, I'm definitely going to keep watching.

Dexter, House M.D. and Californication is my dream team tv series

I originally liked this show, but because of the Hank and Karen storyline I really am annoyed now. (Season 4)
Honestly, I feel like David Duchovny uses this show as an excuse to indulge his sex addiction, because many of the actors, including Duchovny himself have said that all the sex is real.
Around season three, Karen should've left Hank and let him just see Becca occasionally.

Yeah, I'm still earlier in the series but I can imagine that "on and off" situation getting frustrating. There's only so many times Karen can forgive Hank and you still sympathize with her.

NONE of the sex is real.....LMFAO.....
good show though, reminds me more of a comparison to 'Two and a Half Men'. endless drinking, endless sex, endless smoking cigars on THM and cigs on Cali...
season 4 has a dream 3-some......will not spoil it for Conan though, although I do believe you should be all caught up by now. 8)
