Title: Strong Arm Steady’s “Arms & Hammers” best album since The Chronic
Post by: shu on February 01, 2011, 07:13:53 AM
While everyone is waiting on Detox, Talib Kweli has another suggestion for heads looking to fill their Cali rap fix: Strong Arm Steady’s “Arms & Hammers”. Talib said he’s not biased when it comes to their forthcoming project, due February 22. For the set, they recruited producers like DJ Khalil, Nottz and Jellyroll, and the album features collaborations with Marsha Ambrosius, Talib Kweli, Kurupt, among others.
I’mma go ahead and say this is the best album coming out of the West Coast, in my opinion, since The Chronic. And people might be mad at me for that, because I’m not the West Coast, so I’m apologizing in advance if they think I don’t know what I’m talking about. But I wouldn’t say that if I truly didn’t mean that”, Kweli told MTV.

Yeah i'm lookin forward to this album, especially considering the producers lineup... but come on, we all know artists promotin their latest project tend to be over overreaching and label them "best album" and stuff... like WC's interview with HipHopDx.

they played me the album sometimes early last year, so the whole line up is probably different again, but what i've heard was pretty hard. nowhere near the chronic of course, but they got some crazy tracks.

my favorite was probably their feature with r. kelly, which seems to have been scrapped by the looks of it.
