I know this had to be recorded around that time period 1995
Its definitely as good as any song on the album 8)
-
yep
Started = the best display of Kurupt's lyricism on a solo song
and my personal favorite DPG song
edit: You want to know WHY I know it's Kurupt at his best? because Kurupt reused the verses on both radio freestyles and on a Horsemen song with Canibus when Canibus would've completelyyyyy outshined him otherwise. It's like Kurupt has this verse prepared whenever he needs to drop his best verse on a song or freestyle session lol

my favorite track ever, this definitely belonged on Dogg Food
-
Can someone upload this please?
-
Hmmn don't think i've heard this before. I request an upload as well ha.
Dogg Food = one of my favourite albums of all time!!!
-
Might have been meant for a Kurupt solo album on DR.
And yes it is the greatest Kurupt solo song ever. He has had a couple DPG verses that can hang with this but very few.
-
What album was "Dont Stop" recorded for?
-
This track could've ended up on numerous albums.
It finally got released on Daz's "Last Of The Pound" album.

OG with Nas was recorded before 2pac joined Death Row, so it's probably a Dogg Food leftover

I like the Nas version better, more lyrical
-
The Nas version is a classic east/west collabo. The Pac version fits more because it's Pac and the Pound. Both are dope but I would probably lean more towards the Nas version too. I bet Pac was like man I like this song but Nas gotta go LOL.

I like the Nas version too. Pac made alot of good songs with the Dogg Pound but Nas flow on Don't Stop is so good and he is a greater lyricist than Pac.

Pac can be lyrical at times but that wasn't his forte.
Initiated is my favorite Pac/DPG collabo, all MC's bringing it 8)

the late DJ JIGZ of tupacboard fame made me a mix with both Nas verses, Pac and Kurupt's better take (which is on the Pac version)

Kurupt only has one verse which is the same on both versions but he is talking about the remix which has an additional Kurupt verse towards the end of the track

this is true, But the TAKES were different. Kurupt raps much better on the version with PAc...listen to both sometime and yoiu'll agree with me.

Would be nice if someone could up the Nas 'Don't Stop' version? I had it a while back but seem to have deleted it from my iPod...

Nas drops 2 dope verses but he's used those verses before I believe
similar to Daz reusing his verse on that song like 500x

Daz always uses that verse on posse tracks - he knows he cant write anything better and doesnt want to be embarassed
