or was that another Bootsy/Goldie-collabo made for the album?
-
All the songs iv heard off it were dope and from the tracklist it looks good. Ill get this day 1!

Smoop still making music for everybody but his core fan base i see.... :(

Don't forget 'Cold Game' has Bad Lucc on the intro too 8) 8)

i would like more west features...

-
21 traccs ........... Now thats whut im talkin about !!!! :o
-
I haven't liked most of the leaked songs, but let's see how this turns out.
-
Where's the non-believers who said this would be Snoop's worst album at? Only took 2 tracks to shut them up.
-
i would like more west features...
:-\
dude there are hella west features. isn't e-40, daz, kokane, too $hort, uncle chucc, goldie loc and latoiya williams enough? plus the production credits... i think that's pretty much the right dose for a snoop album, especially since he's still aiming to sell some of these records. compare that to cube's record (which was a letdown to me).
Snoop is always correct with this experimental stuff, thus far you can't find a Snoop album sounding very similar to another one and that's why I like buying these records. I was disappointed with Malice N Wonderland but from what I've heard so far the new album is gonna bang! I assume it will sound like a mixture between Paid Tha Cost..., Blue Carpet Carpet Treatment and Ego Trippin plus something new. I'd be fine with that. I only miss a Pharrell production or feature.
-
Is this Tracklist the official one i hope so this is Hooot!!!

Yes, I missed Nate Dogg, Warren, RBY, Lady Of Rage like from Paid Tha Cost...
B-Real, Mc Eiht, Kurupt like from TBCT...
and mistah FAB from ego...
for example.
So from the family (Dogg Pound, long beach), and from he's gang (doggy style records)

no doubt his best album for a long time ( like the blue carpet treatment and ego trippin )
-
never thought I would buy a Snoop album again but I might 8)
-
Looks pretty good. I'll be buying.
Always a shame to see no Kurupt or Soopafly and etc but used to it.
-
first snoop album i'll be buying since the last meal...
-
C'mon. Snoop's last album was his worst ever. So yeah, this may be better, but how much better?
Hyping up tracklistings & assumptions are exactly why you all hate what Dre is doing now.

yeah but you know nate can't record shit right now, warren g is wack for years now and tha pound was never very common on snoop records except the first two. mistah fab is far from what he was back in 06 or 07 and eiht... well eiht is still trying to get his album out on premo's label, dunno what's up with him really. but i wouldn't expect anything very special from a snoop / eiht collabo these days.
In addition you got a bunch of really great musicians workin on that record like Bootsy Collins, Gorillaz (Damon Albarn is a genius) and Willie Nelson. I don't mind whether he does Country msuic or not, he's a very skillful guitar player and i liked what they did on that My Medicine joint. That was something special you woudln't expect and it was great music, I like that. It was obvious that the hardcore "I only bump hip-hop"-fans wouldn't like it but it wasn't for them neither.

Looking forward to this so I can drop my opinion, some songs that we heard are trash but some are great. I hope Snoop will drop album for his fans that made him what he is today, maybe after this one. 8)
-
looks like a pretty good tracklist to me. It's a shame. though, that Snoop feels the need to put so many tracks onto his albums. It's something he's done with all of them (with the exception of Doggystyle I suppose). He'd have much stronger and more cohesive albums if he stripped them down a bit more.
-
looking forward to this as well. the songs that we have heard have been up and down, hopefully the album will be better.

Thing is, everybody says that but look at Malice. That had fourteen tracks on it (if I'm not mistaken?) and it wasn't exactly his most popular release with the core fanbase...

How much is going to be filler like a lot of snoops recent albums.

don't count on it.

never thought I would buy a Snoop album again but I might 8)
i can't front this may have some heat. if it's worth the purchase i may consider. but right now saigon's got the hottest shit on the streets.
-
At least "New year's eve" don't make the cut. Still i'll give Doggumentary a spin but i don't expect something better that his last 2 records
Sad how much Snoop's carreer turning pop & radio friendly oriented. Even Paid da cost looks like a Hip Hop masterpiece compared to his works the last 5 years
RIP Big Dogg

no bias but i think you guys will be surprised with the record. most people have enjoyed the record, and likened it to TBCT.
I want to say that most of the tracks that have not leaked are the ones that the dubcc fans will enjoy the most. Peer Pressure, We Rest N Cali, Wonder What It Do, The Way Life Used To Be, Toyz N Da Hood, and more... all very strong cuts.

15. Take U Home (Feat. Too $hort, Kokane & Daz Dillinger)
what im talkin about
-
seems like it could be a decent release with some quality west coast themed production. more than i thought it would be, ie a straight malice part 2. unsurprisingly i'd like to hear snoop over some quik and dre beats but some battlecat and fredwreck will do 8)
-
Looking at the tracklisting, This album should be dope ass hell.

haha calm your ass down. It was tongue in cheek.
The point is it doesnt matter where the artist is from if good music comes out of it. People keep striving for guys to only have features from the one area when it doesnt physically affect their life.
And you dont know the extent of what i listen to. Dipset make great music at times.

West Coast Fans or Dubcc Fans are the worst ever always bitching about something and thinking its the late 90's ... I know it must sucksfor some of them because they wish they were from that era lol
-
Looks as if it has potential. I'm cautiously optimistic. Will give it a listen first and then decide whether to purchase a hard copy.
