1. Chris Bosh is not a great player (many of us wondered why he was getting a max contract). It's clear the Heat needed a post player who could get boards and play down low
2. Dwight Howard can actually score...his offensive game has really improved and he is getting more looks. Yes, Bynum has improved, but Howard has improved even more and will get even better
3. Lebron James and D-Wade are great players but very similar. Those who have been watching the Heat are now aware, however, that Bron is definitely better than Wade. Its not that close really.
4. Players make horrible GMs. Teaming up like in Miami or NY isn't a recipe for success. Many knowledgeable Bball fans aren't shocked at the Heats play against top teams. Wade and Bron have been very good but depth is always key. The Celts, Spurs, Lakers and Mavs are the favorites, as well as the Bulls.
5. Tim Duncan is a true team player and Pop is a great coach
6. A big slow unathletic white guy can put up Rodman like numbers on be boards

Wade seems like a better guy but when the Heat are on it's Lebron bringing it. Neither have been clutch but it's funny that all the blame falls on Bron.
As for Griffin ya he's got major game. Even sees the floor well for a big Gonna be insane in a few years

That good chemistry and a solid TEAM will beat a collection of superstars who are just a collection of superstars. We already knew it (see the 2004 Pistons...and a couple US Mens basketball teams lol), but we have been reminded of it again...so far.

That was a main reason why people thought Lebron joining the Heat was a terrible idea. But its not considered cool to join the Clippers even though a player going there would be a better fit than some other teams.
And you darn straight about players making horrible GM's. Not just in NBA either. Good players who sucked balls as GM. Elgin Baylor, Willis Reed, Wes Unseld, Booby Clarke, Matt Millen. Almost 4got about him. The jury's still out on Mitch Kupchak, Steve Kerr, Kevin McHale, & Danny Ainge. At least McHale didn't trade Garnett to the Lakers, he deserves points 4 that :) and he's still better than the current & past GM's on the Wolves. Don't know any MLB players who became GM's.

3 superstars joining a team and winning a ring? celtics did that. they just got luckier with the role players.. but the concept was pretty much the same. if was not as politically incorrect because those niggas were fairly old and it wasn't secretly planned for years, but effectively it was very similiar to what happened in miami. and it did work and still does.
when shaq joined the heat it was also a designed title team with no soul, and it did work.

Exactly Allen moves without ball and Garnett is a crazy defender. With pierce those guys work so well together. As well there is a lot less ego with those three than with the heat

I duno I thought Bosh was doing pertty good for a 3rd option. What other third option around the league averaging 18ppg and 8+rpg? Not bad for a third option guy. But Miami DOES need a bigger presence in the paint.

Bosh isnt bad at all. He is just soft. When the playoffs come the Heat will need that banger inside that Bosh isnt. The game will slow down in the playoffs, which is why I think a team like Boston will still have a big advantage over them. It'll be interesting to see though.

the Heat simply have noone in the paint that is feared by opponents. they had no assholes, that's why they really needed to bring dampier out of practical retirement. joel anthony is a joke and a clear minimum guy if I may add :D
when shit hits the fan in the playoffs and it's all about knocking a player like rondo or rose the fuck down like they raped your mom, bosh will just take a step aside and let them pass for the easy lay-up. when 1 rebound basically decides the game players like noah or howard will just bully bosh. and you can't count on the centers as anthony is horrible and short and Z and dampier are old.
the Heat wanted a true center so bad that sources say they offered Miller for Haywood. lmao, Haywood has one of the worst contracts in the NBA.
