BIG LOL! ::)
The by far worst Lupe Fiasco album is on the way to be his most successful album...the game is a bitch...looks like it worked out what Atlantic did with Lupes album...good for Lupes wallet but not good for his fans and himself...cause now Atlantic got a great argument for the washed-up-Lupe-pop-sound!
-
I wouldn't say that it's because of what Atlantic did. I think Lupe just got the "50 Cent 'Massacre'" effect. He showed he released great music on his first two albums, built up a large, die heart fanbase &
"Words I Never Said" NEVER took off & "The Show Goes On" wasn't all that big either. This in a way is almost positive for Hip Hop lol. An album selling with no larger than life single.
But then again, it's finishing number one, but how much is it actually selling?

The Massacre had a ton of singles

The Massacre had a ton of singles
But 50 sold that album more on his own hype of his first album. That album had buzz when it first was annouced it was coming. The singles & marketing after it came out pushed it to astronomical numbers.

Didnt The Show Goes On go gold. The albums decent but his first 2 albums were better.

it's not bad as internet is making it out to be.
not is it as good as it should be

True. And 50 had alot of drama going on just like the 1st album also. I was shocked Lupe's album did that well 1st week. Especially being that he is not supporting it.
-
Lupe is supporting it. He never said he didn't like the album, just that he has a love/hate relationship because of how it was created. If he wasn't supporting the album he wouldn't have gone on all the interviews and talk about the album, he wouldn't be touring.
