Title: Who would you of rather have on TOP DOGG's "We Dont Love Em"?
Post by: Tha Crip on March 11, 2011, 12:07:54 AM: This beat was crazy vintage DJ QUIK, i wish snoop or someone from deathrow coulda rapped on it. Or even Quik himself, coulda been an anthem had it had a bigger artist rapping over it, whatcha guys think?, who coulda killed this beat 8)

the beat was crazy.. vintage quik production that funky shit.. i wonder if they actually recorded it in studio, i mean if quik and top dogg were in tha studio together?

You got it? How is it? I've order it in 2008 when it was supposed to drop but didn't recieve the cash or the album since then..

I think somebody said recently that the beat was lifted off a reel they had in the archives. Since they were lifting old Dre songs for Chronic 2000 this sounds plausible. Plus, I don't think Quik was cool with Death Row anymore when this would have been recorded and I never heard Quik speak on working with Top Dogg or vice versa.

Top Dogg's released songs were great, and a few of the unreleased ones, but there were more wack unreleased songs than good ones in his archive. I bet things with Death Row would've ended way different had they not gone with the 2Pac and Snoop imitating.
