Who do y'all think is better? and when i say better i mean considering there whole careerwise, not who is better right now, but who is better OVERALL. I think Snoop Doggy Dogg is greater then eminem ever was or ever will be and Snoop has created and helped create THE two greatest rap albums every created in the chronic and doggystyle, and has been in the game for over 10 years and is still one of the most popular rappers the rap game has ever seen and has/had the DOPEST flow in the rap game.

I guess I'm givin' my vote to Snoopy. Eminem sure can spit - but Snoop's more than a rapper. He's a character. And after all he did write my favourite rap ever - Nuthin' But a G Thang. Purely as rappers - I'd probably go with Em, but then again Snoop's got Doggystyle under his belt... I DON'T KNOW!!!!

Man, i can't even believe you would compare snoop dogg to someone like eminem, they have different styles n shit. You should come up with a better match, like twista or Bizzy bone. or something like that, plus snoop has been playin the game since the late 80's, eminem still had baby nutz.

Its real hard to compare these 2. Like Snoop raps about fun shit and partys and blunts and bitches, while Eminem raps about fucked up shit that I cant relate to. I prefer Snoop by far, I think Doggystyle was the best album ever. Eminem is huge right now and sells millions of records, but I still would prefer "Paid tha Cost" over "Eminem Show"...but thats just me.

That's easy for me. I got much love for Em as a rapper, he is a powerful rapper indeed, and got more fans and stuff than Snoop, but Snoop was at his top almost a decade ago, don't forget that. He gave rap a name(among others), put the LB on the map, and have been a mayor player on the two best rap albums ever, no matter how much other record sells; The Chronic & Doggystyle
I love Snoop for what he did in the early 90's, his charisma, charm, and humour is untouchable. He's a legend. 'Nuff said.
But much respect to EM though, don't get me wrong.

Flow - Tie...At the beginning of their careers Snoop has it for sure but now no question Em's flow now is insane
Delivery - Not sure...Snoop's delivery during The Chronic and Doggystyle was great but he came with less energy on Tha Doggfather and hit a low on his No Limit debut. It's difficult to judge this.
Lyrically [complexity (vocab, rhymes patterns, multis)] - Eminem
Catalogue - Eminem...Snoop has more albums for sure but Em has 3 albums all are at least dope, none are shitty while Snoop has a hip-hop classic which Em doesn't but some of his albums are questionable. Close, probably should be included with consistency.
Impact - Eminem
Working/Rhyming with others - Snoop...Eastsidaz, The Chronic, etc
Freestyling - Can't really say...Haven't heard Snoop free too much
Battling - Eminem...Snoop can throw the disses around nice too ("Dre Day", "Pimp Slapped", etc) but Em takes this.

Come on people, I know Snoop probably dropped 1 classic album, but Eminem don't have one yet to his name. He ain't never going to. I can't name a rapper that has a better debut album than Snoop. Actually I don't even know a rapper that has a better album period. You know something funny, Em is older than Snoop by a couple of months and Snoop has been in the game way longer than his ass. i totally agree man! eminem is and never will be better than snoop was. Snoops career will always be better then eminems career.

Says it all for me pretty much... as well as that comment about snoop being more than a rapper. The Dogg has his paws on everything. But you know it all depends on individual songs. Some snoop songs have better subject matter and lyrics than em while some seem to be about well... nothing.. he's just having fun

actually i do knwo what impact means and i'm pretty sure everyone will agree with me when i say that snoop has done more for hip hop then eminem ever will and has secured a place as one of the people who impacted rap the most in the 90's.

Snoop Dogg's impact on HIP HOP far outweighs Eminem's by a landslide. Yes Eminem has impacted media and so on but who really gives a shit about that. Back in '93 Snoop was as big a star as Eminem is right now taking into consideration HIP HOP wasn't as large then.
1. Snoop Dogg was the main reason the West Coast was on top of HIP HOP in the early 90's.
2. He had influenced countless rappers styles including The Notorious B.I.G.
3. Snoop and Dre are responsible for getting "hardcore rap" played on the radio.
4. He influenced the HIP HOP style of dress by popularizing flannel shirts, khakis, Chuck Taylors and hockey jerseys to a national level.
5. The popularization of marijuana in hip hop sky-rocketed after The Chronic dropped. Dre said the title of his LP was the idea of Snoop. No one but Cypress Hill and Redman discussed marijuana until Snoop came in.
There's a lot more but too lazy to sit here and think.
Eminem's influence:
1. Allowed white rappers to become a commodity in rap music.
I'm having a hard time with Em so can someone help me list how he impacted HIP HOP other than being the media's pet and sales. I'm talking about changing the game.

snoop dogg was a product of the times in the 90's. gangsta rap was at an all time high and dre had the midas touch... Eminem however, came straight out of left field. nobody ever thought at that time that a white rapper could be succesful.
i believe 2pac had the most effect on west coast credibility. "california love" had people doing just that...showing california love. snoop was just the opening rapper for that.
as for classic, yes doggystyle is a classic, just like mike tyson was a heavy weight champ. but that was the past, we all know eminem would rap circles around snoop now and then.
the only reason why eminem doesn't have a classic cd is the subject matter... i can't relate at all to a drug whore of a mother, a rolling stone father and so on and so forth.
and to be honest i won't vote for either of them, they both have ups and downs, my vote goes to dre for finding two outstanding rappers whose styles are so varied and both have given us hours of timeless music (well that has yet to be seen with eminem's)
