Not really. Used the same sample as Cali Love. To be honest I'm surprised no one did this 15 years ago as a response to Cali Love.
-
This song is fresh; besides Swizz Beatz verse. :-X
Think of it like this, it was an attempt to make a NYC anthem & they sampled the greatest anthem of any reigon or coast ever; out of respect for California Love.
-
Dre did a better job incorporating both samples ("Woman to woman" and "West Coast Popluck") than whoever produced this track. Good track though.
-
This was really TERRIBLE use of the sample.
And Im not hatin. I feel every artist on the song and Swizzy is a dope producer but this was definitely a fail.
Remember when it dropped as a #monstermondays joint. Did not download it.
A music video was unnecessary. ;D

Its a decent enough track.

I never heard you say Dre ripped off that EPMD track.

edit: song is shit though....
Ultramagnetic sampled Woman to Woman before EPMD, whose song "Knick Knack Patty Wack" was covered by Tha Dogg Pound in 97.

They should remix this & throw every NY artist on it.
