Beyonce and Jay-Z are reportedly set to duet on Dr. Dre's new album 'Detox'.
According to The Sun, Jay-Z and Dre have already started work on the song their pair will record together, with the long-awaited 'Detox' finally expected to be released in 2011.
The newspaper quotes an anonymous source as saying: "Jay and Dre have recorded their verses with the chorus left open for Beyonce to sing."
If the duet is completed it will be the first time Beyonce and Jay-Z, who are married, would have recorded together since 2007.

I have my reservations about this track, but it will probably be good. Dre knows what he's doing for the most part.
On a side note, I hope Dre pays respect to Nate Dogg in the liner notes of the Detox album.

hmm...Jay is okay i would say...he is a Legend...Beyonce?hmm...we had Mary J on 2001 and she did a great job...Beyonce is also a great singer...i mean if its a track about Hip Hop and Dre & Jay talking about the last 10-20 years with Beyonce singin to it it would be okay...but if its some Under Pressure shit with singin or a pop-have fun track to get more attention from young listeners it is total bullshit...

Ya I don't see what the big deal is. I got a feeling that the song theme will be about both Dre and Jay looking back at hip-hop and waht they accomplished and how its changed. Beyonce prolly won't be doing a huge hook but also Mary J was on the other album.

kinda but not as much as the underlying music. on certain types of tracks one female vocalist over another isn't necessarily gonna make or break the record. although i do find akon pretty unbearable.
