Earlier this week E-40 simultaneously dropped his fifteenth and sixteenth solo studio albums, Revenue Retrievin’: Overtime Shift and Revenue Retrievin’: Graveyard Shift. He’s been rapping for almost a quarter century, and has seen the game change from selling cassettes out the back of his car to selling mp3s on iTunes. He’s gone from the Hillside of Vallejo, CA, to more comfortable surroundings, but to hear him talk today you’d swear he was still hustling. Well, it’s cause he always is...

Nice! 40 definitely has a strong career.

Wow, that was a long read. Dfinitely worth it though.

that was dope!

Cool

Did he talk about how he stole most of his slang from other people?

if you read everything, he's paying homage to people he borrowed words from. 40 is regularly paying homage to his influences and peers, whether it's Calvin-T & Magic Mike, Philthy Phil from Richmond (who allegedly made up the word playa hater), Too Short or Keak Da Sneak and 3X Krazy...
it's a great article, I wish he had chosen Quarterbackin' instead of a few other singles from the same period. I'm curious to know about the makings of that particular song which to me was very slept on.

nice read.... I love all those tracks except for the last couple trash sellout joints with Lil Jon
