Wow, Quik really is an originator. That's some groundbreaking shit right there!!! A hip hop music video that takes place in a strip club? Never been done before! Quik truly is a genious. The video is about as innovative as the song. Hopefully this album gets delayed indefinitely.

check out the hate! what's not to like about the music? it might not be groundbreaking or some super lyrical shit, but quik is doing something you can bounce and vibe with. funky shit and flawless production!
and this is out on tuesday, this aint no detox shit! :P

I'm excited but disappointed at the same time. The first two releases are mediocre to be honest. Luv of my Life has a cool beat but nothing memorable. Three months from now it will be forgotten. Real ladies... give it a month and it's done. I hope he brings some more heat like G-shit.
Edit: As a vet you have to give something to fans that keep them coming back. You can't recycle shit.... Look at Daz, he releases the same album every 8 months. If you listened to them all back to back you couldn't tell them apart. He has a catchy beat (Dirty) here and there but that's it. Less is more and I hope Quik brings it.

from the sounds of it, the album has plenty of heat. big shame that 'fresher than me' aint on it. real women i'm not that big on, but the track he did for jon b's album is incredible. luv of your life is dope enough. not amazing but something you can bump anytime.
and quik has musical diversity! there's no way he's recycling shit to that degree, there's always variety in it. if you're talking about daz then it doesn't sound you hold his production in such high regard as myself :P

Yup... I think if Daz stepped back for a year or two and started listening to music in general, he could come up with something unique. It seems like he doesn't really have any inspiration, literally! Trauma is one of my favourite Quik albums so I guess I have high expectations. It seems like the feature list on BOD is more B list compared to Trauma. I keep an open mind though so we'll see what happens ...
I'm sure it will leak any day now. Do you or anyone know what's up with the Quik questions? When will they ask him?

the video is generic....so what? i'm talking about the music. and i understand how sarcasm works, you don't need to read between the lines too much to get the implication there. and the last part is not meant sarcastically.
just defending quik a little cause 'luv of my life' is a dope record. nothing groundbreaking, but a nice groove. a lot better than say 'kush'.
