Dr. Dre
Nas
Pac
Biggie
Outkast
Gangstarr
Bone Thugs
Mobb Deep
I can't think of anymore...
-
I agree with that with the addition of DJ Quik
-
Ice Cube!
2 classic solos (Amerikkkas Most Wanted, Death Certificate)
2 classic group albums (Straight Outta Compton, Bow Down)
1 classic EP (Kill at Will)
-
If you're talking about absolute hip-hop classics, then this is it
Rakim
KRS-One
A Tribe Called Quest
Run D.M.C.
Just normal classics add:
Big Daddy Kane, Public Enemy, Dr. Dre, Outkast, Nas, Mobb Deep, NWA, 2Pac, De La Soul, Scarface, Gang Starr, Ice Cube, Notorious B.I.G., EPMD & Jay-Z (like it or not Blueprint will be considered a classic)
-
pac
dj quik
-
Above The Law (Blakc Mafia Life, Uncle Sams Curse)
Ice Cube (exactly wut tnp said)
Dr. Dre (the chronic, 2001)
NWA (IMO both there LPs)
Eazy-E (Eaz-Duz-It, Its On EP)

Dilated Peoples (and they've only released 2!)
-
I'm gonna say Quik, but Im biased a little bit
Gotta go with cube... Amerikkkaz most wanted and then he followed that up with death certificate... Man, back then he could do no wrong musically.
-

warren only got one...
i'd say wu-tang do.. and i actually prefer "Forever"
Above The Law got 3... their first is classic too
hopefully deuce will jump the DOC up to two.. but think it will be slept on
-
no one mentioned snoop dogg, i would think doggystyle, or Top Dogg, or Last Meal. or some shit like that. Plus E-40 is on some tight shit, underated tho. Eazy-E - Quik, gotta give props for them. 2pac ture hip hop classic, few more already been mentioned.
-
Snoop ONLY Doggystyle ...
BUt Pac, Dre, Rakim, Cube, ATL got more than 1
-
hopefully deuce will jump the DOC up to two.. but think it will be slept on
Probably not, unless he makes it with lots of guest spots like 2001 but not as much mic time as Dre had. His voice is too fucked. Helter Skelter made me feel real sorry for him. He sounds terrible.
-
my personal opinion is that Snoop should be there too. THa last meal was underrated..
-
only KRS and Cube...thats it...nobody else...
-
I don't think that their is anyone else who hasn't been mentioned, although I think if you consider the Black Star album he did with Mos Def, Talib Kweli has two classics:
Black Star
Train Of Thought
Snoop definately doesn't have two classics, Doggystyle is his only classic.
Also for the person who said Ras Kass, Soul On Ice is definately classic, I don't know which album you are refering to as classic other than that. Rassination was average, and the Van Gogh advance bootleg was dope, but not classic.
-
Nas - "Illmatic" & "Stillmatic"
Dre - Chronic's 1&2
N.W.A.
-
its hard to say whats classic and whats not.. but if we count ATL we could include Cypress Hill, MC Eiht (+cmw) and ice-t :)
-
Snoop Dogg, I think DoggFather was a classic 2, I still bump it sometimes, like 6 years after
-
Eminem ;)
-
Eminem ;)
Which record????
I think the MMLP was ok ... Enminem Show and SSLP ... OH NO!!! ::)
-
Infinite is classic... i wish they'd remaster that shit with some other rare em tracks and release a collection. guess they will one day.
-
I can't see why people think Infinite is classic, is delivery and flow is terrible. It's great to see how much he's improved.
-
i liked ems underground shit much better than i like his shit now...but it aint classic...nothin em has is classic...there is no replay value...it gets annoying after 5 listens...i think alotta people are grabbin with these classics...aint really many classics...
-
Nas - 2 [Illmatic, Lost Tapes]
Wu Tang - 3 [36 Chambers, Cuban Linx, Liquid Swords]
Outkast - 3 [Southernplayalistic, ATLiens, Aquemini]
Cube - 3 [AMW, Death Certificate, Predator]
Public Enemy - 2 [It Takes A Nation Of Millions, Fear Of A...]

Geto Boys - 2 [We Cant Be Stopped, The Resurrection]
Mobb Deep - 2 [Infamous, Hell On Earth]

I don`t know .....i have a problem with the word classic
let me take doggystyle one of best cds ever but where is the big difference to chronic?
just one example ;D
I think every cd has something "negative" in it.
-
I don't think that their is anyone else who hasn't been mentioned, although I think if you consider the Black Star album he did with Mos Def, Talib Kweli has two classics:
Black Star
Train Of Thought
I agree with you on that note, but I think both Talib Kweli albums have been classic. Especially "Reflection Eternal", that album will never leave my CD player.
