Has anybody tried both the fake ones and the real ones?
and are they worth buyin? the real ones that is?

i have the solos and they snapped up on the headband when i was taking them off, same with one of my main homies. I looked it up online and it seems its happened to 10000000000000's of people, poor design sacrificed for a "sexy" look.

I remember Jimmy said in a interview that people can't pirate headphones. Anthings possible nowdays.
-

My boy bought a real pair from best buy then sold them on craigslist. After a month he was going through withdrawls lol so he ordered some more off ebay.
Ebay ended up emailing him and let him know that the guy he bought them from was suspended from ebay for selling fake beats by dre. I asked him if they sounded any different and if I recall his exact words were "hell no, I never wouldve known if ebay didn't send me that email".

The studios are definitely worth the coin, quality is amazing. Anyone know how good the "Beatbox" is?

LMAO ;D

I've got a pair of studio headphones that I got about 4 years ago for $150 that sound just as good as dre's headphones. But I also have a pair of Studio Beats too.
I contemplated getting knockoffs but they're still expensive. And if the knockoffs break you're out of luck.

i'm still using grado. too ill

that's probably because some people have fucked up ears and wouldn't know the difference between $300 and $30 headphones anyway

In response to your question, yes they are worth getting, but only for a reasonable price (I have the black studio versions). I'm from the UK and I would never pay the retail price for them because they're too damn expensive!
They are brilliant headphones though. I've never owned proper headphones before so I have nothing to compare them to, but they sound brilliant for hip-hop music as you'd expect. I'll admit that as a fan of Dre I was more interested in these than other headphones, specifically because they are more geared towards rap music, and I was also drawn in by the aesthetics because they look really nice as well. The battery life is amazing as well, well over 50 hours of use.
So yeah, I would recommend them, but I'm probably not the most knowledgable person when it comes to headphones.
-
Neither Beats by Dre or the knockoffs are worth buying unless you're a fanboy buying the shit for the name.
-
I got the work out ones for the gym and running love em. Best 149$ I ever spent
-
I've got the solo's (4th pair, headband snapped on every pair), my mate got some fake ones of eBay, they looked the part and the base was brilliant but everything else sounded compressed and horrible, so he got a refund and got the seller banned from eBay.

I've demoed the beats and I don't have an issue with them. I just wouldn't spend the asking costs due to reviews of other headphones. But, your ears are your ears. Don't listen to what other people say about "how to listen" if you're not enjoying the experience. Beyond the actual quality produced you should enjoy how the headphone fits around/on your ears & head.
I'm still convinced most of us can't tell a difference in audio quality beyond 256kbps.
