I was bumping this today and I really think this could've been classic with a removal of a few joints...The No Limit song, I Can't Swim and Leave Me Alone are the only songs I ain't really feeling...If these were replaced with Sunshine, No Bacctrackin or even just dropped and keep the album around 15 songs or so it would've been a classic album...The production on this album is better than any other Snoop album except Doggystyle...
-
i agree but i thought that leave me alone was tight but that no limit track should've been kept off
-
what? you mean this ain't a classic?
-
There are many, many albums that could be classics if you trim them down to 10 to 14 tracks.
-

I liked the no limit track it was just out of place...oh and Also can y'all stop with all these Snoop's Thread its gettin wack
-
Wow...I'm surprised no one has said anything about there being too much Kokane on the CD...I think this CD is damn near classic except for a couple of tracks like Leave me alone and the No Limit song.
-
fo sure it's close as fuck
I think I can't Swim was dope
but imo Back Up Off Me was str8 wack thanks to P

-
the no limit track was tight...just on the wrong album...had it been on magics album or ps or the 504 album it wouldve fit...last meal was too west coast for that track to be on there...oh and couldve shouldve wouldve been classic...
-
LMAO...this cd is soooooo far off from classic....i know there are some snoop dick riders in here but come on...be realistic....there are like maybe 3 classic tracks(lay low, henn and buddah, and #6 i think it is)....but the rest is just average with some real low points(cant swin, the nl track, leave me alone)...oh and i forgot the biggest thing that destroyed this album...the whinning wailing crying KOKANE.....AAAAAHHHHH...cant stand him
-
this album is no where near classic. paid da cost is much better. doggfather is much better. top dogg is much better.
-
I don't see how anybody can say Paid the Cost is better than Last Meal...I am by no means a "Snoop Dickrider" (I wouldn't even list him in my top ten or maybe even 20), but Tha Last Meal is a hella dope album. I thought this was a west coast forum.....Last Meal is WEST COAST! Paid the cost...I don't know what THAT is but is sure as hell ain't WEST COAST.
-
So now to like an album it has to be WESTCOAST ?????

Well, for most people that post in here it seems to have to be.
-
Anyone who says paid the cost is better, must be choking, because ptctbtb was straight whack....last meal is like snoop's second best album hands down

THANK YOU......And you others are missing the point about it 'having to be west coast to like it'....Doesn't surprise me...

Paid da cost is a dope ass album. Much better than last meal. Only songs that I thought were pretty good on last meal were:
Intro
henney N Buddah (very dope, best song)
Go Away
Lay Low
Set it off(decent above average)
Issues
Yall gone miss me
some songs r straight up wack like especially the first single snoop dogg.
on the other hand on paid da cost I like these songs:
da boss would like to see u
stoplight
chuch to tha palace (at first I hated it, still don't like the beat, but snoops flow is amazing)
Ballin
Boss Playa
Hourglass
The one and only (Fuckin awesome)
I Miss that bitch (fuckin awesome)
Beautiful (Fuckin awesome)
from lb to brick city
suited n booted
pimp slapp'd
so pretty much I really only like about 7 songs on last meal and 12 on paid da cost.

thats about how i feel about that. Paid the cost has a real good consistancy to it. The pace and flow to the new album is much better than Last Meal, and the Lyrics from PTC are better than Last Meal aswell as Snoop's flow and energy

What the fuck?? Snoop, Eminem, Xzibit, WC, Damu Ridaz, Doc motherfuccin DRE! It's all about your taste of music. It's hopeless about arguing on stuff like this. No one will have the exact same feeling about a thang.

i think the author of this thread is an idiot, you can say that for damn near every album "it could of been classic if..."
could of would of should of, didnt. the bottom line is dont eat ice cream with a fork
